BREAKFAST: WCS will provide all Stantonsburg Elementary students with free breakfast. A grab and go breakfast will be served in the cafeteria in the mornings. Students will take their breakfast down to their classrooms to eat. Students must arrive at school prior to the tardy bell at 8:00 if they would like to eat breakfast. Elementary school parents will not have to complete a free/reduced meal application to receive breakfast though parents may want to do so if they need assistance with technology fees.
LUNCH: WCS will provide all Stantonsburg Elementary students with free lunch. Lunch will be served in the cafeteria. Lunch times and locations are subject to change based on the needs of the school, especially on early release, 2-3 hour delay, and testing days.
Please take advantage of the options to prepay your student's meal accounts. Prepaid meal accounts help the lunch lines go faster and give students more time to eat, relax, and play. It also gives you the peace of mind of not having to worry about looking for lunch money every day or worry that it might get lost, stolen, or used for other things other than lunch.

PARENT VISITS AT LUNCH
Parents are welcome to visit during lunch. Visitors eating lunch with a child must get a visitor's pass from the office and may only go to the cafeteria. Parents should sit at a designated table with their child, not with the rest of the children. When lunch is over, visitors can not accompany their students back to the classroom, but instead must come back to the office to sign out using our check-in and out computer system.
LUNCHROOM BEHAVIOR:
We encourage our students to use good manners and behavior while in the lunchroom. Students will be expected to remain quiet in the lunch line and only speak to the cafeteria staff. A 5 minute timer will be set once the last person in the class has been seated, at the end of this 5 minutes, students may resume talking. This procedure will encourage our students to prioritize eating and reduce the noise level in the cafeteria. Students should report any problems in the cafeteria to the adult supervising them at that time. If a student has a concern with the quality of the food served in the cafeteria, they should report the concern to the cafeteria staff immediately before they throw their food in the trash can, so the staff can address the issue. See PBIS Matrix for rules and procedures.
SNACK TIME:
Each individual teacher decides if and when the class will have a snack time. This is partially determined by the time students eat breakfast and the time they eat lunch. The teacher will notify you about rules regarding snacks. Parents are encouraged to send nutritious snacks if their child will be observing a snack time.
Food Delivery:
To maintain a safe and focused learning environment, students are not permitted to bring in outside food for breakfast (such as fast food, restaurant meals, or takeout) after arriving at school. Additionally, food deliveries (including DoorDash, Uber Eats, or any other delivery services) are not allowed at any time during the school day for students. This helps us ensure student safety, including those with food allergies; minimize disruptions to the school day; and support our school’s nutritional guidelines and meal programs. Students may eat breakfast provided by the school or eat before arriving on our school campus in the morning. Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a positive and safe school environment.
