Address verification is required when new students enroll at Stantonsburg and when a student has an address change. Address Verification may be required at other times as required by the district. For example, in most years, address verification is required of 5th Graders before going to middle school. During this process, parents must submit two proofs of residence. Failure to turn in proper documentation will result in students’ names being submitted to the school social worker. The following documents will satisfy this requirement:
Choose one of the following items if the photo ID or driver’s license matches the street or road address. Choose two of the following items if the photo ID or driver’s license does not match the street or road address.
1. Property tax records which indicate the street or road address location of the residence;
2. Copy of lease or copy of deed to property which indicates the street or road address of the property;
3. Copy of current utility bill in the name of the parent showing residence address (electric, gas, water, or cable);
4. Copy of voter registration form showing street or road residence address;
5. Copy of automobile registration showing street or road address; or
6. Affidavit by designated school district official setting forth that the address and residence has been verified by such designated school district official based on a personal visit by such school district official to the residence address.
