Our teachers use sound judgment in determining the amount of homework assigned each night. Please notify the principal if your child’s homework consistently takes longer than the allotted time. Students in grades K-2 will have no more than 30 minutes of nightly homework. Students in grade 3-5 will have no more than 45 minutes of nightly homework. Every student in grades K-5 should read or be read to EVERY NIGHT, including weekends. YOUR TIME IS THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE YOUR CHILD. Reading is a wonderful way to share time and improve your student’s academic skills. If your child says that they do not have homework, please remind them that they always have reading to do.
