POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORT (PBIS): PBIS is a general approach to preventing problem behaviors and implementing researched based practices to maximize academic and social behavior and outcomes for students. School-wide expectations will be posted within the classrooms. We will celebrate the children who exhibit expected behaviors throughout the year.
Our PBIS Events Calendar will be coming soon.
Teachers choose students to be recognized with a Positive Referral. The students' names are called over the intercom to report to the office where they receive the positive referral, a piece of candy, or a prize from the treat box.
Students are chosen who represent our school well. These students following the PBIS expectation consistently and are models for other students to follow. Their pictures are recognized on a bulletin board on the main hallway.
