Nature Journals

Every child at Wicor keeps a Nature Journal. These journals provide a special place to record observations of our school grounds throughout the seasons, documenting changes and discoveries.

As shown in the video, Nature Journals allow children to present information in their own creative style whilst maintaining the scientific accuracy behind their work. Inspired by the ideas of John Muir Laws, our approach teaches the importance of close observation and scientific rigour - balanced with a sense of awe and wonder about the natural world.
