Robotics

Robotics – 0830 Half Year – 1/2 Credit Grade 10 – 12

Corequisite: Principles of Engineering and/or CAD and Advanced CAD.

This course is designed to introduce students to the basics of VEX Robotics platform and the Arduino Platform as it teaches science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Students will learn how to use feedback from sensors, applied mathematics and measurement to program their robot to navigate in its environment. Students will have the opportunity to complete multiple challenges involving guided research, problem solving, working in teams, and design documentation by means of an Engineer’s Notebook.

Students will have the option of taking this course for college credits through the Farmingdale State University in the High School Program.
