Career Café
The Business Academy hosts a Career Cafe every year. Every April, students are given the opportunity to meet with their top three career choices. There are over 300 professionals in various careers that meet with students. Students are able to learn about the careers and what the job entails. They are able to determine if that career is something they want to pursue in the future. In the past, students have been able to land internships and get jobs with these companies, hospitals, firms, etc.

Taste of the Town
The William Floyd Culinary Academy sponsors a "Taste of the Town" every year. This is a food tasting event that gives CTE students the opportunity to work with industry experts. The goal of this fun, food-filled event is to support local businesses by driving increased patronage to them while helping to raise money to support student scholarships, competitions and our local food pantry.
This is a great opportunity to for restaurants, pizzeria's, deli's, etc. to highlight their business! Community members attending this event will have the opportunity to sample many of the outstanding dishes that are being provided by top local food establishments.
CTE Week: Career and Technical Education week takes place the first week of February. It is a public awareness campaign that takes place to celebrate the value of the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country. Each year, the William Floyd CTE programs participate by showcasing their work at the CTE expo in the south lobby. In addition, teachers and students participate in the weekly activities.
