William Floyd High School's Business Academy will enable you to prepare for college, gain entry-level employment, and achieve business-related personal goals. Courses are designed to provide a variety of options for students to meet elective requirements, while developing college and career-related skills.

You may elect a 5-unit sequence in Business Education as an alternative to the 3 credit World Language requirement for an Advanced Regents Diploma. The 5-unit sequence is designed to provide students with skills necessary for entry-level employment.

Math Applications for Business, College Business Math, Accounting, and College Accounting each can be used to satisfy the third required unit of Math.

Business Academy Pathways

Students have the opportunity to obtain a CTE Endorsement in three different pathways; Accounting, Small Business Management, or Microsoft Office Specialist. Students MUST take the required courses as well as the additional courses. The purpose of these endorsements is to prepare students for entry level employment by developing the necessary workplace skills to be a successful employee. It also gives students a strong foundation to continue their post-secondary education. 


**Please Note: Students MUST pass the technical assessments for these pathways in order to receive this endorsement on their diploma.
