I joined the Junior Varsity Volleyball team in Grade 9 as a setter. We participated in various tournaments and matches throughout the season. I continued to be part of the first six of the Varsity Volleyball team in Grade 11 and Grade 12. As a setter for the Varsity Girls team, I participated in various tournaments locally and overseas in Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City where we got champions. It was a memorable experience to travel with my friends and coaches. In my senior year, due to the Covid-19 situations, we trained diligently and competed with other international schools in Bangkok, joining ISB Invitational Volleyball Tournament and NIST TIVO Tournament.

I showed commitment to volleyball as I was always there to practice, participate in friendly games and tournaments. Playing as a setter for the team, it was challenging at times when the pressure is on because I have to decide who gets the ball and when. As volleyball is a team sport, going through this journey I recognize the benefits of working collaboratively as we cannot earn a point if we don't talk and support each other through the game. Through the various tournaments, both overseas and local, I realized that the happiness, sadness, stress, madness, trust, and excitement that I encountered with the volleyball team are the one of the most valuable memories of my high school career.

Twin Towers Classic Tournament at Iskl

September 18-21, 2019 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Wells Varsity Volleyball Girls and Boys team were once again invited to Twin Towers Classic Tournament held at International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL). My four day on a school overseas trip was really amazing because I got to hangout with my best friends and teammates, working together in and out of the court. Aside from sports, we also checked out one of Malaysia's greatest landmarks, the Twin Towers. Even though we did not win the tournament, everyone had a great time working together to achieve the win.
