My friends' club was meant to set up a booth during the CAS Showcases where Wells Seniors for one last hurrah before graduation. This was also a wonderful opportunity for clubs to advertise their cause and make a profit. The BDFY club (a uniquely Wells club started in order to create a safe space for students) decided to bake cookies to go with the booth being hosted. I was able to be a part of this process where we were able to generate sales of over 100 cookies in total. This ties into creativity since as a group, the two leaders and I found a creative way to spread the word about the club, and boost popularity by providing our customers with goods they could cherish.
Aside from just the baking, we also designed the packaging, all with different inspirational quotes and words that required lots of imagination as we had to find appropriate sayings that would leave a positive impact on the reader.
An obstacle we faced was perfecting the recipe since one of the batches we made were burnt, so we had to start over and follow the recipe more carefully. It also became difficult to think of quotes to add to the packaging so we had to get creative altogether as to personalize each package. Baking that many cookies and writing these uplifting messages wouldn't have been possible individually since we had to bake them last minute to make sure they're fresh enough to sell at the CAS Showcase.
