You will add the photos to your Portfolio
Every session gets uploaded to your portfolio, edited, downloaded, and then removed from your portfolio in preparation for the next session.
'Add Photo' and import from your SD card.
Cull and edit down to 20-25 color images.
Edit in 4x6 mode.
Create your Frameable Birth Announcement. View THIS PAGE for instructions
Editing tips:
Using the 'Multiple' tab at the top helps you see the full panel.
Using the 'A' in the contrast tab generally gives a good base edit (select all images and hit Auto). Be sure to go back through each image to make sure it does not need any further tweaks- sometimes it can make your images too saturated.
Using the dropper in the Color Balance tab can help with your white balance. Use the dropper tool and select something white. You can also batch edit your white balance by going into multiple tab, selecting all images and adjusting the WB numbers.
Find your 'Slideshow Slides' portfolio- click on the appropriate slides, drag to your main portfolio (or you can upload from the downloads folder)
When ready to download them, select all and right click, hit 'Create Digital Media'
Click Browse, on the Desktop find the 'Customer Galleries' folder
Click on that folder and hit 'make new folder' on the bottom left, create a subfolder with the date. Create another subfolder within the date with your gallery access code. You find the access code by going into the Dashboard and clicking 'Manage Gallery' for the room you want. Copy and paste access code.
Once your subfolder with access code is complete, hit 'ok' and then 'copy to folder' to add photos to that folder.
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4
Once session is saved in a folder on the desktop, remove the photos from your portfolio
Clean out (delete) sessions older than 2 weeks in your Customer Galleries folder.
Do:
Edit in 4x6 aspect, be sure to leave enough negative space around the subject.
Cull photos down to 20-25 photos BEFORE editing
Keep editing simple
Include a birth announcement
Don't:
Edit heavily
Edit with 'color' or 'tone' buttons (our computers are not color calibrated like a phone would be and these buttons are not true to color)
Edit photos before culling down (this is a time waster)
Don’t crop too tight- leave negative space
Don’t fix shooting mistakes in editing- editing is a polish step, not a rescue mission.
