Movie Review

“To understand what I’m about to tell you, you need to do something first, you need to believe in the impossible. Can you do that?” This is the opening line for The Flash. Many of you may know of Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh from their previous work. For example,Grant Gustin has played in Arrow and Glee. Danielle Panabaker has played in Sky High and Read It and Weep. Tom Cavanagh has played in Trading Christmas and was a voice in Yogi Bear. Now, you can see these very talented actors once again as they take on roles in The Flash.

The Flash is a superhero television series on The CW made by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns. The Flash is based on DC Comics Character Barry Allen also known as The Flash. Barry Allen / The Flash (Grant Gustin) is a superhero crime-fighter who moves at superhuman speed. Barry Allen’s life changed at the age of 11 when his mother died and his father was accused of her murder. Now, as a crime-scene investigator, Barry is dedicated to find out the truth behind his mother’s death. When one night a particle accelerator, a world changing invention, exploded which cause a freak storm causing Barry to get hit by lightning. Nine months later he awakes from a coma with the power of superspeed. Then, later, he learns that he was not the only one that was affected by the storm that night.

The other ones that were affected that night of the storm use their powers for evil. With the help of Dr. Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) The Flash tries to protect the innocent and still tries to solve the mystery of his mother’s death. Throughout the series, the cast and creator Greg Berlanti do an amazing job with the special effects with making it feel as if you are actually running with The Flash. The cast and creators making the series make viewers feel as if this futuristic world could really be our future.
