During the week of October 2nd, Wallkill hosted a Spirit Week to promote the upcoming Homecoming football game and dance. Many students participated in the themed days by wearing outrageous outfits coupled with wild props and hairstyles that corresponded with the themes. Themes included: USA, Adam Sandler, White Lie, Barbie vs. Ken, and Class Colors. Check it out!
USA Day- We started our spirit week by wearing red, white and blue, to show our American pride! Many students wore colored pants, jackets, or graphic tee shirts resembling our country's colors. Some students went all out with hats, necklaces and sunglasses. Check out some of the photos that were posted on the WVRHS Instagram page.

Adam Sandler Day- Everyone loves American actor and comedian Adam Sandler! He is known for his hilarious movies and comedy shows, but he is also known for the very humble and simple outfits he wears out-and-about. On this spirit day, students mimicked the over-sized shirts and baggy pants he is often found wearing.

White Lie Day- A white lie is a harmless fib about something unimportant. For this day, students wore white shirts, and wrote a little white lie about themselves on it. Many students got creative with this topic by writing funny, and sarcastic jokes on their shirts. Many teachers also participated in this spirit day, writing little lies about the class they teach.

Barbie vs. Ken Day- The Barbie Movie has been growing more and more popular. Clothing brands have Barbie lines; makeup lines have added Barbie products and even food brands are displaying Barbie packaging. On this day, students and teachers dressed up as Barbie, or Ken. Some just wore pink or blue, while others wore full Barbie costumes, hats, and jewelry.

Class Colors Day- We ended the week with class colors. Each grade wore one of our school colors to show school spirit! Seniors wore black, juniors wore white, and underclassmen wore grey while teachers participated by wearing Wallkill merchandise.
