Aroha
Sharing, taking turns, supporting others
We will achieve this by:
Sharing class equipment like felt tips, there is enough for everyone to use
Putting equipment back so that others can use it rather than putting it in our tote trays
Using kind words to all
Respecting each others’ personal boundaries
Taking turns with games and equipment so that everyone can use it
Staying positive when we have to stop using something, it's ok, I'll get another turn soon
Handing over the ball in handball nicely to the kids who are left playing and getting into line quickly ready to have another go
Help others cope with disappointment when they can't use what they want straight away
Success Indicator:
When you help someone, you will feel proud of yourself and they will feel proud of you
We will be thanked for our thoughtfulness
Everyone will be happy because they ALL got a go with the equipment
We will feel respected and cared for when people speak to us using kind words
We will feel safe and happy in our personal space
We can continue to improve and develop our reputation in a positive way
