Graduation Nominations

Each year, the whole class (including year 5's) get to vote on which year 6 students showed the MANA for the whole year. Who showed Manākitanga, Angitu, Ngākaunui and Aroha continuously over 2022? Who helped you? Showed they cared about you? Helped make our school and classroom a better place? A cleaner place? Who made sure you were ok? Who did this day after day (not just recently)? Who attended school all the time (unless they were really sick)?

Checking our work when we have finished: is it my best effort?
Creating an independent blog post on our blogs showing our work and reflecting on what we have learned
Making sure we understand what the instructions are by listening to the teacher
Making small goals we can reach for and achieve in our work and reaching for them
Taking a photo of the work we are proud of during the week and submitting it to go on Hero for our caregivers to see
Talking to others and getting their feedback on how you are going with your work and give them great feedback too!
Knowing that sometimes we don’t know things or can’t do things well - YET - but we keep trying

TIMES TABLE ONLINE - complete all the activities (before you practice using the games) for the 7 times table. Get your certificate for ALL of the times tables.
PROTOTEC - Start at level 3. Try to get at least 90% correct, keep on trying!
MATHS BUDDY - MUST FINISH ALL the lessons. If it says continue to next lesson - you continue. There is MORE THAN ONE lesson!
WORKSHEETS - will be given to you by Whaene Vicki when you come up to her. These are to be done STRAIGHT AWAY if you get one.
MATHS BUDDY - Weekly Review. Use Google and your friends to work out the answers!

Learning to Type

Using our chromebooks, we need to practice our typing. Whaene Vicki can type WITHOUT looking! This is called touch typing. You have to practice a lot to get to that stage, but you can get better and USE MORE THAN ONE FINGER if you practice just a little bit!
