Respecting each others’ personal boundaries, when someone says no, or stop, then we stop
Thank others for helping us
Help others whenever we can
Know that not everyone thinks the way we do and that is ok

Using kind words that make people feel great - kōrero pai
We will listen to the speaker by watching them, keeping quiet and taking in what they are saying
Open doors for staff and students who need help
Keep our hands and feet to ourselves
Respect other people’s property by keeping it clean and tidy
Respect our own property by looking after it and not losing it
Follow instructions the first time
Do your job once and do it properly
We will better know ourselves and what we can do to help ourselves and others
Our class will be calmer and more controlled helping us to learn better
We will feel respected and cared for when people speak to us using kind words
We can continue to improve and develop our reputation in a positive way
When you help someone, you will feel proud of yourself and they will feel proud of you
We will be thanked for our thoughtfulness
We will feel safe and happy in our personal space
We will know what to do for our learning
Choose a book that you are going to read from start to finish - each and every page. Not just look at the pictures!
Keep the book in your tote tray until you have finished.
Each time you read that book fill in this form recording what you have read:
TIMES TABLE ONLINE - complete all the activities (before you practice using the games) for the 7 times table. Get your certificate for ALL of the times tables.
PROTOTEC - Start at level 3. Try to get at least 90% correct, keep on trying!
MATHS BUDDY - MUST FINISH ALL the lessons. If it says continue to next lesson - you continue. There is MORE THAN ONE lesson!
WORKSHEETS - will be given to you by Whaene Vicki when you come up to her. These are to be done STRAIGHT AWAY if you get one.
MATHS BUDDY - Weekly Review. Use Google and your friends to work out the answers!
Whaene Vicki will call your group up to work with her during this time.

Watch the video. Click on this link here. In your maths books, do each worksheet (there are four). One per day before you do any more independent maths work (ie, no Prototec or timestables online etc until you have done this). Learning our timestables and division is sometimes boring. But the more you practice, the better you get, and then we can get onto more interesting maths!!! So go hard!!!
We are learning short division.
Jakeh
Jakob
Zane
Catiele
Tikalasi
Watch the video on short division. Can you see anything that she does that might be confusing? With the dot? Hmmmm.
Then complete this worksheet in your maths books. This is just practice of the method. Complete them all. We will then work on word problems with it.
There is a fun activity waiting for you with the teacher. In the meantime, please can you do your independent work and practice your skills on prototec.
Dynamic Dialogue! Writers need to make things exciting, and often characters talking to each other help with the excitement. But it can be boring!!!!!!!
Dialogue/conversation needs to ADD to the story, not fill up space on the page.

Learning to Type
Using our chromebooks, we need to practice our typing. Whaene Vicki can type WITHOUT looking! This is called touch typing. You have to practice a lot to get to that stage, but you can get better and USE MORE THAN ONE FINGER if you practice just a little bit!
