Weather Preparedness

As we prepare for potential weather impacts over the weekend for many university locations and possible disruptions to operations next week, please remain attentive to the University Status webpage and VT Alerts for campus location updates.  

Employees are reminded to keep supervisors informed regarding their status and ability to work should weather conditions affect travel or operations.

As a reminder, the following policies provide guidance during weather-related events:

• Policy 4305: Authorized Closings Leave and Compensation outlines expectations and leave provisions when the university declares an authorized closing, delayed opening, or early closure.

• Policy 4325: Flexible Work Arrangements addresses telework and other flexible arrangements during a disruption to operational schedules.
