🔥🚒Shout-out to the ENTIRE STAFF for your great work during Friday’s fire drill! 🚨👏 We completed the drill in about 8 minutes and 40 seconds, even with several subs on campus. Fantastic job utilizing the sub student roster form—all teachers who were out, your subs did an awesome job texting rosters to admin! ✅📲 Despite some tech issues and a 5-minute delay to re-enter the building due to the fire alarm continuing to trigger, you all worked together seamlessly to ensure everyone was accounted for. 💪💙 Thank you for your patience and teamwork—it truly made a difference.
🌟 Shout-out to Ms. Angie Landry and Ms. Cartnee Gaspard for their incredible flexibility in the front office as we navigate the new Raptor system! 🙌 This change impacts our drills, sign-ins for subs and parents, and so much more—but they have handled it with patience and a positive attitude. 💙 We truly appreciate you both! Thank you for making this transition smoother for everyone! 😊👏 #Teamwork #Grateful
🌟 Shoutout to our amazing Pre-K team for going all in on our new Boot Camp challenge! 🏃♂️💨 Your energy, creativity, and commitment are making such a difference for our youngest learners, and it shows! 🎉💪 Our kids are absolutely ROCKING this challenge, building the skills they need to be confident and ready for kindergarten. THANK YOU for your hard work, passion, and for always giving your best to help our students GROW! 👏💙✨ #AllIn #FutureKindergartenStars #PreKPower

LEAP Practice Tests 24-25
In order to provide students with another opportunity to practice using the online tools for LEAP testing, we will administer the ELA and math practice test in DRC. Previously, reports were not provided for the practice test in DRC but that has changed. You will now have access to reports on student responses.
LEAP Practice Test 2024-2025
Grades 3 and 4 will complete the ELA and Math practice test in DRC on April 14 nd 15.
These practice assessments are to provide the students with a simulated experience of the LEAP 2025 assessment. This allows the teachers to remind students of test taking strategies that they should be using. (A time for teachers to tell the students what they would want to say during the real test but can't.)
Monday, April 14, 2025-
Grade 3 ELA Session 3 (75 minutes) done independently including writing prompt and Math Session 1(75 minutes) done independently
Grade 4 ELA Session 2 (90 minutes) done independently including writing prompt and Grade 4 Math 1(75 minutes) done independently
Tuesday, April 15, 2025-
Grade 3 ELA Session 3 (75 minutes) done in collaborative groups excluding writing prompt and Math Session 2 (70 minutes) done independently
Grade 4 ELA Session 3 (90 minutes) done in collaborative groups excluding writing prompt and Math Session 2 (70 minutes) done independently
Math Session 3 for both grades 3 and 4 can be used to review.
Review missed ELA items with students on Wednesday and Thursday.
Purpose :
Provide students with the opportunity to experience testing in ELA and math in timed sessions.
Provide teachers the opportunity, during the practice test sessions, to give students feedback and guidance on the process of testing, not content. Teachers should emphasize testing strategies, directions, and instructions.
The Practice Test is not to be used as a grade.
The Science Practice test can be given on Monday, April 28. The science practice test is in Pear Assessment for both grades 3 and 4.
There is currently no social studies practice test.

To be considered for the incentive, each class in each grade will need a minimum of 80% of their students to complete 3 or more on-grade level lessons each week. The class that has the most on-level lessons completed, with at least 80% of its students completing the lessons, will earn an extra snack from the snack cart each week.
