Kayla Randolph has been teaching for 11 years and currently teaches American Sign Language (Levels 1–4), Geometry, and Real World Math at Millersport High School. She holds an Associate’s degree in Deaf Studies and Interpreting and a Bachelor’s in Integrated Mathematics Education from Ohio University, as well as a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University.
In addition to teaching, Kayla serves as the union’s Social Media Coordinator. She finds inspiration in being part of such a strong and supportive group of teachers.
A Lancaster, Ohio native and 2009 graduate, Kayla is deeply connected to her community. She advises both Student Council and the American Sign Language Club, supporting students beyond the classroom.
Outside of school, Kayla enjoys cycling, riding dirt bikes, and crafting personalized tumblers. She has been married to her husband, Peyton, for 9.5 years, and together they have two wonderful children. A fun fact about her: she has interpreted at a wide variety of events, including for a former President of the United States, Tecumseh Outdoor Drama, Disney on Ice, and in medical settings. She also volunteers her time with their therapy dog, Nino, bringing joy to libraries, nursing homes, and other community spaces.
Kayla’s teaching philosophy is rooted in putting students first: “I teach students math because students always come first. When you think you know everything, it’s time to stop teaching.”
