Jessica Mick has been a dedicated educator in Walnut Township Local Schools for the past 11 years. She has taught Math and Science to 5th and 6th grade students at Millersport Elementary for seven years and currently teaches Junior High Math, now in her fourth year in that role.
Mrs. Mick earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University and her Master of Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Her passion for mathematics and science is matched by her commitment to helping students think critically, problem-solve creatively, and develop confidence in their learning.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Mick serves as Vice President of the Walnut Township Education Association, where she advocates for a positive and supportive working environment for staff. She believes that when educators feel valued and cared for, they can help students reach their fullest potential.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Mick enjoys exploring national parks with her family, hiking, and attending concerts. A fun fact about her: she and her husband spent 21 days tent camping across national parks for their honeymoon—a true testament to her love of adventure and the outdoors.
