Mrs. Gretchen Schroeder is in her 24th year at Millersport High School, where she teaches English 11, English 12, Poetry Workshop, AP Literature, and AP Language. Mrs. Schroeder received her bachelors degree in English education at Ashland University, her masters degree in Reading Instruction from Otterbein University, and is currently a doctoral student at Ohio State University. She has presented at national conferences, and had her research work published in academic journals, such as The English Journal, The ALAN Review, and Study & Scrutiny: Research on Young Adult Literature. She is also a regular writer/contributor to Choice Literacy, an online professional learning community for teachers, literacy coaches, and school leaders. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Schroeder is the adviser for the National Honor Society.
Mrs. Schroeder comes from a long line of union workers and is proud to be a member of WTEA. She currently serves as the treasurer. She lives in Columbus with her husband, Pete, and two daughters, Sophie and Margaret.
