Who will receive Tier 3 intervention?
Students who have previously been identified as Tier 3 will receive intervention. A list of your Tiered students is provided to you by Wicklow's MTSS Coordinator.
Groups and schedules will be created by the Math Interventionist in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
Tier 3 students who are proving successful after receiving 6-8 weeks of intervention can be recommended for a transition to Tier 2 instruction at a weekly MTSS meeting by the classroom teacher and/or interventionist.
Tier 3 students who is showing limited progress over the duration of 6-8 weeks may be recommended to receive an alternate intervention and/or recommended for further student study.
Which resource will be used with my student?
The choices presented are approved by SCPS for Tier 3 Intervention. The Math interventionist may determine which resource to use with Tier 3 students depending on student needs.

How often do interventions occur?
Interventions for Tier 3 should occur at a minimum of three times per week for 30 minutes in a small group. Instruction should occur as directed by the resource.
How is progress monitored?
Generally, skills or benchmarks are assessed on a bi-weekly basis.
Tier 3 proficiency data will be uploaded to EdInsight by the provider on a bi-weekly basis.

Monitor progress often
Communicate openly with the Tier 3 Interventionist regarding progress and current grade level skills
Communicate progress to students and parents
Be prepared to discuss student data in MTSS meetings
Allow students to use strategies taught during intervention within the math block
