Hawaii Island Recovery is a dual-diagnosis program with an inpatient residential facility that works on a majority staff-to-patient ratio. Patients are assessed based on their level of needed treatment in substance use intervention. Inpatients can acquire a level of outpatient status through group or individual meetings that are non-residential and used as a continuum of care in the recovery process. Spots are limited within the program to keep the ratio of staff-to-client high.
