Numerical Computing Working Group
Purpose
Develop the outline of a numerical computing course that is:
--Language agnostic (Matlab, Python, C/C++ are likely candidates but the course outcomes will be independent of language)
--Transferable to most 4-year WA institutions that require such a course in e.g., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering

Next steps: Find a meeting schedule. Please fill the schedule finder in this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sy2lofjMTD5abKg44rUNSihzOBQFmRtVTMF244bZTN4/edit?usp=sharing
Please put your name in any slot where you have a recurring commitment every week and absolutely cannot make it for a working group meeting in that slot. Enter your name in a slot (if applicable) even if other folks have already indicated their unavailability. To help identify at least a few possible slots, please do not fill-out slots that you have an occasional commitment in (e.g., monthly, bi-weekly) or something that you have some flexibility in moving to another slot. Appreciate if you can fill this in by Dec 22.
I am targeting our first meeting for week of Jan 11 or 18.
Update 05/05/2022
The course common numbering for ENGR& 240 - Engineering Computations have been approved by the Articulation and Transfer Council (ATC), and they are now moved forward to the Instruction Commission (IC) for final approval in their Fall 2022 meeting. After IC approval, this course and number will be ready for use in schedules and catalogs of Summer 2023.
Below is the CCN proposal submitted to ATC
