Statement of Purpose

The Washington Council for Engineering and Related Technical Education is a voluntary organization of post secondary educational institutions within the State of Washington who are involved with some portion of engineering and engineering related technical education. It has the following general purposes:

A. To improve communication in the area of engineering related education between the various educational institutions within the State of Washington and beyond them to industry, state officials, and the general public.

B. To provide an organization under whose auspices problems which are related to engineering education and which concern groups in institutions can be studied and recommendations made. 

The goals of this WCERTE website are to:

• Make the work of WCERTE transparent and visible to state members

• Create a space for Working Groups to gather materials and share with the Council

• Share the rich history of WCERTE for new members to the Washington State engineering community
