There is real benefit to being at WCERTE meetings in person. Over the years, many of the key things that we have done have started as conversations during breaks. The networking is a key part of the experience. That being said, we recognize that not everyone will be able to attend in person. Here is a Zoom link for those who must be online.

Our Fall meeting is coming up on Oct 19-20 in Bremerton, Washington. We have a great agenda, and I am looking forward to seeing you all there. Please find the following two attachments:

Fall 2023 Meeting Agenda
After my first message, there were questions about transportation from the Bremerton ferry. Olympic College and WSU-B will provide transportation to and from the Bremerton Ferry Terminal, based on the following sailings. The Kitsap Transit Fast Passenger ferry (no cars) leaves Seattle at 8:00 am and arrives Bremerton at 8:30 am. In the afternoon, the ferry leaves Bremerton at 3:05 pm and arrives Seattle at 3:35 pm. Contact Murari Kejariwal (murari.kejariwal@wsu.edu) if you need transportation to/from the Bremerton ferry terminal. There are other sailings, but these are the ones that we have scheduled around. Full ferry schedule link. There is also a longer WSF car ferry.

Our Fall meeting is coming up on Oct 19-20 in Bremerton, Washington. We had great attendance, interesting presentations, and a room full of energy at our Spring meeting, so I’m looking forward to more this Fall. Thanks to our Fall meeting hosts Olympic College and WSU-Bremerton!
This is a great opportunity to tell us all about engineering education projects or research that you have been working on. We can also spend time in roundtable and/or panel discussions around topics of concern to our membership. Are there any transfer/articulation issues that we need to discuss? Any changes from the universities that will affect CC transfer students?

Registration will be sent out with the agenda, but the basic info is:
Thursday, Oct 9 - WCERTE Dinner – Anthony’s at Sinclear Inlet - Time - 5 pm - 8 pm - No Host. The restaurant is two blocks from Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. For those not staying at the hotel, the restaurant provides complimentary parking on level P1 of the parking garage located directly under the restaurant. You will be able to RSVP as part of registration.
Lodging – Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Bremerton. Rates are $129 ($159.96 with tax/fees). Reserve your room using this link (Book your group rate for WCERTE Conference) or call (360) 377 – 2111 and ask for the group discount. This discounted rate is available through Friday, September 29, 2023. We have 10 rooms blocked out. Please reserve your rooms as soon as possible. Hotel parking is $10 payable upon arrival and can be claimed separately as part of your travel expenses. State per diem rates for Olympic College are: breakfast = $14, lunch = $17, dinner = $28, and lodging = $107. Since we have a meeting lodging, employees of state institutions can submit for 150% of $107 = $160.50 maximum lodging.
· Friday, October 20 – WCERTE meeting - $45 – Olympic College – 8 am – Building 7, room 311. Free parking is provided in a reserved section of parking lot 2, which is directly north of Building 7. Parking passes will be provided after registration. Includes coffee/tea, light breakfast items and lunch.
