AR Tools
The basic tools are those that allow simple actions to be carried out, whether in virtual or augmented reality.
To use a tool, first select the tool you wish to use from the "tools" menu. The tools menu will be displayed, allowing you to interact with it.
Finally, press the “X button" to close the tool or cancel the action.
BIM Information
Once you have selected this tool, click on any element to consult its BIM information.
In this tool, you can view all the BIM parameters and edit them if you have configured any VTPlatform_Pset.
Filter
This tool allows us to filter the elements of the model according to their type, highlighting the selected type and hiding the rest.
Click on the group of elements you want to show or hide to activate the filter.
Opacity
You can change the opacity of the elements to improve the visualisation of the model or reality.
Select the element or the whole model, and slide the slider towards "-" or "+" to hide or show the 3D model.
This is a very useful tool for hiding or showing the model while working in the field and comparing it with the real elements in the space. It can also be useful for blurring model elements to highlight annotations made in both VR and AR.
Section Cut
Perform section cuts of the model to generate different viewpoints in the scene.
Once the tool menu is displayed, select the axis on which to start the cut.
After selecting the axis, slide the slider from "+" to "-" to perform the section.
Scale
The scale tool allows you to change the display size of the model. By default, the model will always appear in 1:1 scale.
Once the tool is selected, choose one of the default scales or click on 1:1 and manually enter the desired scale value.
Use the arrows to scale up or down gradually.
Measure
Use the measurement tool to perform model or reality checks. This tool allows linear measurements between 2 points on the model, 1 point on the model and 1 point in real space or 2 points in real space.
Take measurements:
In the measurement tool menu, move the pointer to the desired location and click on the screen (AR) to place the starting point of the measurement. Move the pointer to the second point and click again to place the second point.
You can associate a name to each of the measurements.
Manage measurements:
Press "Edit" to edit the measurement.
Press ''Name'' to edit the measurement name. Press ''Save'' to save.
Press ''Delete'' to delete the measurement. A prompt will appear asking you to confirm the deletion or cancel.
Press ''Delete All'' to delete all measurements made in the scene.
Paint
The "Paint" tool allows you to draw strokes in the scene or on the elements of
the model.
Press the paint icon to open the tool menu.
Activate "Air mode" to paint freely around the scene. Turn it off to paint on the surface of a digital model element.
Select the size and the colour of the stroke.
