Additional resources for children who attend English language classes with Mrs. Keoghan/Mrs .Power
The theme for the next four weeks is Plants and Animals. There are three levels of work to choose from:
Level One is for children who are new to the English language.
Level Two is for children who have a reasonable amount of English.
Level Three is for children who have a good grasp of English.
Choose a level which is best suited to your child and work away at a pace that suits your child. Repetition is really important.
Level One (Children who are new to the English language):
Suggested Vocabulary:
Animals: dog, cat, fish, rabbit, cow, sheep, duck, chicken, horse, tiger, elephant, monkey, giraffe, zebra, lion, shark, bird etc.
Plants: tree, leaf, plant, flower, grass
Months of the Year: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
Animals:
How many farm animals can you name? (cow, pig, sheep, hen etc.)
How many wild/zoo animals can you name? (lion, tiger, elephant etc.)
How many pets can you name? (dog, cat, rabbit, goldfish etc.)

Label the flower: roots, stem, leaves, petals
