Additional resources for children who attend English language classes with Mrs. Keoghan/Mrs .Power
The themes for the month of June are ‘At the Beach’ and ‘Summertime’.
There are three levels of work to choose from:
Level One is for children who are new to the English language.
Level Two is for children who have a reasonable amount of English.
Level Three is for children who have a good grasp of English.
Choose a level which is best suited to your child and work away at a pace that suits your child. Repetition is really important.
Level One (Children who are new to the English language):
Vocabulary: summer, sun, sunscreen, sunhat, hot, holidays, sand, sandcastles, beach, swimming, swimsuit, towel, bucket, spade, shells, waves, picnic, ice-cream.
Can you draw a picture of yourself at the beach?
Draw a sandcastle, bucket, spade, waves and shells.
Don’t forget to draw your sunhat, swimsuit and towel too.

Can you draw some pictures of things you like at the beach? e.g.,splashing in the water, eating ice-cream, building sandcastles etc.
