Virtual School Tour on Wednesday! No written work this week. Click:
Have a look at the photos here. They are taken in schools a long long time ago. As you are looking at them think about answers to these questions.
What are the differences you notice between the schools then and now?
Are there any similarities?
How many children can you count in the first classroom?
What does that tell you about how school was back then?
What do you notice about their clothes and the furniture?
We read about Earth Day last week and this week we are learning about Endangered Species. Open the file and you can read about bees, giraffes, coral reefs, whales, elephants, insects, trees, plants, birds, fish, sharks, crustaceans, sea turtles and great apes, all of which are endangered species.
Pick your favourite one of the endangered species and design a poster on why we need to protect them and what we can do to help!
Have a look at page 142 and 143 in Earthlink. They are scanned here becuase most girls don't have the book. This first page is a chart examining different jobs and sectors of the employment industry. If you like maths you'll love this page! If you find maths very tricky you can skip page 142 and just read page 143 and try the exercises at the end of the page.
