Theme: This Friday is the 1st of May and following on from last week's lesson this week's theme is...
'April Showers bring May Flowers'
Task: You can create your own piece entitled 'April Showers bring May Flowers'. Again it can be completed using any materials you have at home.
Below are some resources/places you can find inspiration for your piece.
Firstly take a look outside. Can you see any flowers in your locality? Did you or your family do any gardening during the nice weather? Do you know the names of the flowers in your garden?
There is a link to the Irish Wildflowers website. Once you enter this site you can click on the 'Flowering Now' heading at the top and then click on the May tab and take a look at some of the Irish wildflowers that appear in May.
There is a power point you can view to see many artists different take on the saying 'April Showers bring May Flowers'. There are some really creative ideas here.
Next there is a youtube link to a video called '25 Doodle Flowers'. This video gives you a step by step guide on how to draw many different flowers.
If you want you can take a picture of your finished piece and email it to your teacher. They can then send it on to Mrs. Kiely to go on the school website😊
COMPETITION TIME!!!
Also this week there is a competition on the school website to make/build something out of a cardboard box. Entries can be emailed to your class teacher. All class entries will be displayed on the school website.
