Take time for prayer.
This week a new prayer has been chosen for you all and a different task is subsequently presented as a result. The prayer is short, concise but yet it holds fruitful meaning and a quiet power.
Serenity is a word within the opening line of the prayer - “God, grant me serenity.....”. Serenity is the state of being calm, at ease and peaceful within one’s self. It is a beautiful word and a feeling that is nourishing and very much sought-after. In the current time we may all desire to feel a constant state of serenity but that might not be possible. However, we can work on our ability to refrain from worrying too much about things we cannot change, alter or have an impact over.
This week, read the prayer below daily and try to switch into a mode of gentle calm as you do so. Also, begin to think of such things that are out of our immediate control and accept that reality without personal blame. Finally, repeat to yourself that you are indeed courageous. You each have a strong sense of courage so begin to believe in that courage. This week, with that sense of courage in mind tackle a task that you may have previously stepped away from, feared or chosen to leave rest.
Your heart is free, have the courage to follow it.
