Here you can find a collection of frequently asked questions during Triple Trouble or with connection to the event, its organization, and its organizers.
If you cannot find an answer to your question here, you are welcome contact us (private message or on discord)!
- More questions to be added!
To join us for the event, you need be at the right time (see question below) at the right place. Bring a level 80 character with melee weapons and offensive stats if possible (damage phase for more info on what to bring). When we gather, go to Bloodtide Coast and use one of the squadjoin-taxis provided on discord. Check Calendar for more info on how to use the taxi and get to our map instance. Join the correct squad for the wurm head you want to join. Your commander will give you further info on what needs to be done for the event.
We usually organize one run each day. If a run can take place, depends on the availability of commanders and blockers and the game/servers being functional amongst other things. You can find our schedule on the Calendar page. Changes, updates, and additional runs will be announced on discord.
This is the approximate schedule for the different time slots - all times in CEST:
Evening run: 21:15 - 21:20 tagging up + posting taxis; 21:25 - 21:35 map usually starts filling + possible bottleneck; 21:45 start explanations; 22:00 event start (5min timer)
Dinner run: 18:15 - 18:20 tagging up + posting taxis; 18:25 - 18:35 map usually starts filling + possible bottleneck; 18:45 start explanations; 19:00 event start (5min timer)
Midday run: 13:45 - 14:00 tagging up + posting taxis; 14:15 start explanations; 14:30 event start (5min timer)
Look at the Calendar page and check discord to see which run we do on the single days.
We announce in the map chat and on voice which tag colour to join for which head. You can also see that with the taxis on discord. The exact colour depends on the commanders and which wurm they are on. While we still gather at the main Waypoint (Firthside Vigil), Cobalt will be north of the WP, Amber to the east and Crimson south.
Yes! We provide all important buffs for the event: A Heroes and a Spirit Banner will be placed next to the Firthside Vigil Waypoint about 30min before the event starts. Power buff food (ascended: Cilantro Lime Sous-Vide Steak) and a Thesis on Learned Strength(utility buff) will be placed just before the escorts start, during the 5min-timer.
Please, do not place other banners or food in the event area!
Check Event info for an overview of which achievement can be done at which head. The escort achievements will be called out by the commanders. All other achievements can be acquired by participating in the mechanic to make the wurm vulnerable and decapitating/killing the heads. Your commander will explain the mechanic and make calls during the event. For more info about the mechanics check the Event info section.
No. You can only get one head at a time. Different achievements happen at the same time, at different places. You will need to fully participate in the fight and deal enough damage to the wurm head in the 2nd phase to get rewards.
- Did you join the correct squad/wurm head? - We announce which commander goes for which wurm before the explanations start. Join the right squad for the head that you need.
- Did you deal enough damage to the wurm? - If you do not deal enough damage to the wurm in the 2nd phase, you might miss out on the achievement. To maximize your damage: Join with a level 80 character and equip gear with offensive stats, ideally power damage (e.g. Berserker stats - power, precision, ferocity), and use offensive traits and skills; check damage phase as well!
- Are you actually missing the Wurmslayer achievement? - Sometime players confuse the different achievements. So double check which ones you still need.
- It's not impossible that there may be a bug connected to the achievements, too. But mostly checking the points above should help.
You can earn a total of five mastery points from Triple Trouble. One for each head that you kill, one for decapitating and killing any of the heads, one for finishing all the TT achievements - check the achievement list in Event info for more info. To get all five points, you need to join at least three TT runs - each head once and probably a few more Cobalt runs to get all the kegs.
Daily: Once per day you will get the big world boss chest (statue at the main waypoint) for completing the event. With that you will get 2 gold, unidentified gear, and you have a chance of ascended armor (wurm skins or other armor chests). Also, you can get other wurm specific loot like the Cobalt Head Mini, the Annelid Rifle Skin, or other items.
Limitless: Each time you do the event, you will get The Wurm's Golden Chest (for decapitating all three heads), which contains five champion bags and other random gear items. Also, you can get champion bags from the escort husks and the wurm head (2nd phase).
No. Triple Trouble will give not give any special amount of experience. If you want to level a character, you should look for other event. Triple Trouble is mostly done for fun, achievements, mastery points, or ascended armor.
No, everyone is free to decide whether they want to join us on voice or not. However, it is recommended to join and listen (there is no need to talk) to your commander when a wurm is commanded on discord. You will get more information, vocal explanations before the event, and calls for what needs to be done during the event. This will help us to stay coordinated as a group - a commander cannot reach anything without people following and listening. On the first page you can find out how to join runs/discord!
No. The link discord.gg/6YG5CC6 can be used in the discord app itself, or pasted/typed into the browser. However, the link is case sensitive. That means, you need to use capital letters for this link (so "6YG5CC6" is correct, but "6yg5cc6" will not work).
If someone still says that the link does not work, tell them to check their spelling. Also, closing and opening your browser or trying the app instead of browser - and the other way around - may help.
All explanations before the event and commands during the event will be given in English. However, most of our commanders can speak at least one more language. If you have issues understanding English, you can try asking in a different language. Maybe we have someone who can understand and answer you.
Many players who join for the vocal leads ask this question, probably because of the way that the event is explained. But no, I do not work / I have not worked as a flight attendant or anything similar. And as far as I know, that applies to all of our commanders.
If you have not joined a vocal lead yet, here you can listen to one as example - TT Crimson commanded by Tany
To celebrate our 1000th community run, we setup one entire run as a flight with explanations like being at the airport/in a plane - listen in here: 1000th community TT run - flights
No, even if most of our commanders are in the same guild. We are a discord group/community that organizes the event. We know each other through the game and communicate mostly via discord in a private channel. Everyone can join us on the discord.
The AE guild, which many of our commanders are in as well, is open for everyone to join. There are no representation or activity requirements. If are interested in joining message me.
No, we only organize Triple Trouble. It is a special event with unique mechanics - and way harder than other events as it needs much more coordination.
There are guilds that organize other world bosses or HoT or PoF events. But unlike the TT event, you can join most other events by checking the LFG for a squad to join some minutes before the event starts.
Once you start it's hard to stop - and by now some of us have a great collection of The Wurm's Golden Chests already. Such a collection is something special and often has a higher value for its owner than the materials contained in the chests. Also, it's fun linking the chests to others to see their reactions full of surprise. That's why some of us will likely never open them. On top of that, opening many chests will take quite some time, as each chest again containers five champion bags and other items that all need to be cleared...
