1st Phase attacks
(all heads)
(all heads)
Each wurm has the same 4 attacks during the 1st phase of the main event.
Amber and Cobalt have extra animations for eating and spitting out people (Amber) and eating kegs (Cobalt).
As a basic rule, keep in mind: Always dodge orange aoes!
The wide spin is indicated by a big orange aoe on the wurm.
It knocks back and deals damage.
It should be dodged or blocked.
This attack has two parts:
The first is a spin (a smaller version of the wide spin), which knocks you back and deals damage.
After that, the wurm spits out many small aoes (drool), targeted at players anywhere in the arena (pets, minions, illusions, etc can be targeted as well). Each single aoe only deals some damage, but multiple aoes will down players.
Dodge these aoes. If you are farther away from the wurm, you can also run out of them as they need some time to travel. The aoe spit cannot be reflected.

blocking aoes:
By standing inside the wurm and using an invulnerability skill just before the wurm spits out the aoes, they can be blocked for the entire group = there will be no aoes flying
Both, egg and husk spit, have the same animation.
Usually, there are blockers who make sure that no eggs nor husks get out - or condition damage players who will CC and kill the husks. With that, the main squad does not have to deal with these attacks. Your commander may ask you to clear eggs/larvae/husks if they get out unintentionally.
Eggs can be blocked with reflection or other projectile-denial skills, blocks, and invulnerabilities.
Husks can only be blocked with invulnerability.
Check the guide section for more info on how to block or deal with husks!

The following enemy types might be found during the event. Commanders will tell you if those mobs need to be killed. Don't run off to attack them!
Veteran wurms will keep spawning during the first phase. They can spit at players (ranged attack, can be reflected) and knock players away (melee attack).
Larvae will spawn if eggs get through and are not killed in time. Larvae deal a lot of damage to players. They can also eat the mushrooms (nutrients) in the arena to gain might an regeneration.
Husks will be spat out if they are not blocked either on purpose for condition damage players to deal with or by mistake.
Pirates will spawn near the keg spots on Cobalt.
Other enemies that are there without the event as well, for example risen, can spawn in the event area.
This video shows the first phase animations from inside the wurm (relevant for blockers).
