MEMORIAL DAY PARADE 2025
We had a beautiful morning for the Parade ... there were more spectators than recent decades ... the newer members of the Drum & Bugle Corps filled in the sound of the older Scouts quite admirably !
Another " Second Generation " Scout, Max , marched with his Troop 4 Eagle Scout father, John A. ( who assisted as a flag bearer for our Troop ). The other members of our Colorguard were father Tim O'R. & Assistant Scoutmaster , Milton W. Alumnus Ronak C. directed the Troop Drum & Bugle Corps.
Scouts John M. & Luke O. assisted organization leaders with wreath laying at the concluding ceremony .

Troop 4 Family BBQ 2025
For a nice change, this year we were not dodging showers for our BBQ --- on the other hand it was approaching 90's on the thermometer. This meant that we sought an alternative to the usual choice of placing the tables in the sun on the parking lot blacktop . We decided on using the small grass area on the west side of our Cabin. This also had a benefit of shade from the trees . This serendipity proved to be wonderful .... and a likely new tradition has been born.
[ You will notice an almost total abscence of Scouts at the tables --- they all spent the entire time enjoying sports on the Scout Field --- many never eating at all ... ]
Thankfully , a three day triple digit heat wave abated for the Court of Awards 😅
Scouts, Parents & Grandparents assembled to honor this year's recipients.
Troop 4 once again had a "clean sweep" of the three traditional Bronxville Scout Troop Awards:
> Commissioner's Trophy for best attendance & uniforms at the Memorial Day Parade.
> Drill Team Cup
> Commander's Trophy for the all around
Best Bronxville Troop for the year.
