MEMORIAL DAY PARADE 2026
Bronxville cancelled the Parade due to the morning of rain { following a weekend of rain }
This was the third cancellation for rain in the last thirty years. Prior to then, the Parade was supervised by the Veterans from Bronxville's Leonard Morange American Legion Post . Going back to 1952 the Parade was never cancelled. The Veterans in charge believed : " Since we fought in weather worse than this , we can march in the rain to commemorate those fallen ...." Different Times. 🤔
BRONXVILLE JUNE COURT OF AWARDS
On a pleasant evening Troop 5 hosted the Awards Court.
Scout Leader Rob Deichert was the unanimous recipient of the annual " Scouter of The Year" presented by the Bronxville Scout Committee.
The Drill Team Cup was won by Troop 4 . Troop 4 won the annual Commander's Cup.
TROOP ANNUAL BBQ
Rain was intermittently forecast for a few days leading up to this evening. Fortunately Mother Nature was on our side & the sky remained clear for the evening --- the temps were pushing 90 degrees the entire time.
Mr & Mrs Weiner anchored the grilling side of the menu ; Troop families expanded the menu with a variety of main dishes, side dishes & desserts. When the Scouts & the siblings were worn out from activities on the field there was an " all you can eat " dinner awaiting to wind up the event.
