ANOTHER RELEGATION SCRAP?

Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 Birmingham City

After a dull 2-0 defeat away to Sheffield Wednesday last night, are Blues destined for yet another relegation battle?

The night didn’t get off to the best of starts for the travelling away fans outside the ground as issues with tickets had the home security handing them out one by one!

And then within the first quarter of an hour inside the stadium, we went a goal down.

Ike Ugbo netting his first of the evening.

Beginning the game how we meant to continue, Andre Dozzell lost his man, Poveda, who laid in the goalscorer for an easy finish.

Very little to shout about for the rest of the half with the Hillsborough faithful looking more positive out the two sides.

Second half was pretty much the same story.

Ugbo grabbed his second at the back post.

Lee Buchanan unaware of the tall striker’s presence who had an easy chance yet again to ease the pressure off Wednesday’s lead.

A handful of opportunities came Blues’ way, none hitting the back of the net, and very few on target.

Blues fans were left wet, cold, miserable, and nothing to cheer about.

An all round disappointing evening to say the least.

Blues will sit just a point outside the relegation zone if QPR find three points against Norwich this afternoon.

And with John Eustace returning to St. Andrew’s Tuesday night, things may become a bit desperate once again at Birmingham City Football Club!
