Known Issues
This page lists any known issues for the TFTC project. Some may be currently unfixable, but the page will be updated as any significant issues are found.
If you have a high refresh rate on your monitor, it can cause severe framerate lag in the hangars. This is due to weird engine behaviour in how it treats the hangar system and so the higher the refresh rate, the more frames are skipped. For this reason, if you are having this issue, we recommend setting your monitor to a refresh rate of 60Hz. You can also try to make sure the setting EnableVSyncInHangar = 1 in the file ddraw.cfg.
If you are awarded a Secret Order tattoo AND and a Battle medal, the two images will overlap on each other after the cutscene finishes. This is currently not something we’ve been able to fix.
The in-game music can sometimes cut out and stop playing. This can currently only be resolved by restarting your game.
Using the film room to record something and then playing back MAY cause the game to crash. We advise you use modern capture software if you want to film something such as Fraps, Shadowplay or others.
The new GPU ddraw is not compatible currently with Intel based GPU chips and will cause a crash when trying to load a mission. You must have an Nvidia or AMD based GPU for it to work. A workaround is to use the older ddraw but you will not get the performance increase which you can download here: https://www.xwaupgrade.com/download/betas/EffectsByBlueMax_beta_v2021-12-29.zip
