In AZPO high school students participating in the last mobility prepared a lesson for primary school students about the Bauhaus idea. PowerPoint presentation helped small kids to visualise the key points of Bauhaus design. As a result of the lesson primary school students painted their own dream houses.
Architect Anamarija Rodak presented the New European Bauhaus initiative to eighth graders and staff of Primary School Barilović. The initiative was launched in 2021 as an ecological, economic and cultural project that should lead to the joint design of more attractive ways of coexistence and is based on three basic values: sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion.
Our guest explained all the elements and factors which designing a surroundings or a building needs to take into account during planning. She referred to the original idea of the Bauhaus, created in the school of architecture and applied art in Germany in 1919 with the desire to realize the synthesis of art and design of useful objects. She presented examples of the New Bauhaus initiative that are already being implemented, but also encouraged a critical reflection on the new, untested ideas that we will encounter.
