Symbol: A "B" rune. A crude figure made of grass or twigs. A simple stone carving of a man.
Strongly present in The Bossonian Marches and Gunderland. Present in The Border Kingdom. There are some worshippers in lands bordering these areas, with the exception of Cimmeria where Bori worship is not found.
Bori is worshipped in Hyperborea, but they have a martial view of him that is different to his worship elsewhere. In that country he is venerated as a conquering warrior.
Bori is the father of the Hyborian people ("hy-bori" means "sons of bori").
He is worshipped as an immensely important ancestor rather than a god. His priests claim no divine power or magic in his name.
Bori worship is simple and humble. There are no grand temples or powerful priests, just simple roadside and housegold shrines.
Worshippers will often pour out a little food or drink before imbibing, as an offering to Bori and to their ancestors. Many of those who have switched faith to another god will still perform the simple rituals of Bori.
Honour the old ways. Honour your father and their father before them. Folow their wisdom. Learn from the mistakes they made so you do not repeat them.
