What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the holy month in Islam where muslims fast for 30 days. The story says that the prophets before Prophet Muhammad ﷺ could fast for 400 years.Muslims do it because they want to remind themselves about poor people who suffer for months without food.So Allah created Ramadan as a way of catching good deeds.Also during Ramadan the Šayṭāns won't be there.
What happens after Ramadan?
Eid starts the day after of the last day of Ramadan.Many muslims say Ramadan mubarak in Ramadan and in Eid they say Eid mubarak.Eid mubarak means happy Eid and Ramdan mubarak means happy Ramadan.Many muslims listen to nasheeds.Alot of muslim girls wear henna on their hands.Henna is mentioned severel times in the Hadith.
When the Adhan starts they each eat one date then they pray in Magrib.
Why does dates have to be involved?
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said “if anyone of you is fasting, let him break his fast with dates". And dates get rid of major pains in your body.
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ هُدًۭى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ ٱلشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍۢ فَعِدَّةٌۭ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُمُ ٱلْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ ٱلْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا۟ ٱلْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the decisive authority. So whoever is present this month, let them fast. But whoever is ill or on a journey, then ˹let them fast˺ an equal number of days ˹after Ramadan. Allah intends ease for you, not hardship, so that you may complete the prescribed period and proclaim the greatness of Allah for guiding you, and perhaps you will be grateful. Holy Quran 2:185
