The Adventurer's Guild is a way for you all to go on many different varieties of side quests. Whether it be hunting, scavenging, exploring, or all three and more, there are many quests to choose from that will come and go. Think of it as a way to enrich yourself deeper in the world of Cynderin's lore, to play your various characters more, and to build reputation for your characters. Many untold adventures await you within the Guild!
a quick side note. while most guild quests are separate from the main story of Galron, they can intertwine with the story and also can sometimes give SNEAK-PEEKS to what we have planned for the future.
Ranks of the Guild:
There are various adventurer ranks that your character can reach. Ranking up to the next level will let you embark on more dangerous quests, gain more prizes and loot, and more.
EVERYONE will start off as a Coal ranked adventurer. Whether you wish to reach a higher rank or not, that is up to YOU.
RANKING UP WILL DEPEND ON YOUR PERFORMANCE IN THE QUEST YOU PARTICIPATE IN, SO DO YOUR BEST! Each guild quest, if you are doing your best, should reward you with 1 point to your rank. HOWEVER, if you do not try, you can get as little as 0.1 points added to your rank.
The ranks will be displayed as so:
Rank Num: Rank Name / # quests (points) acquired total to reach this rank / # quests (points) to advance to the next rank
Rank 1: COAL / 0 / 3
Rank 2: COPPER / 3 / 5
Rank 3: IRON / 8 / 5
Rank 4: SILVER / 12 / 8
Rank 5: GOLD / 20 / 10
Rank 6: PLATINUM / 30 / 15
Rank 7: MYTHRIL / 45 / 15
Rank 8: ORICHALCUM / 60 / 20
Rank 9: ADAMANTITE / 80 / 20
Rank 10: CREONOR / 100

Guild Quests
Quests can vary drastically in what they're based around.
Some quests are more dangerous than others, but (almost) ALL quests add +1 points to your rank.
Listed below are the types of quests:
HUNTING: These quests are as simple as finding various forms of wildlife and hunting them, bringing back their carcasses. You can never have too much food, after all!
GATHERING: Gathering quests are as simple as finding materials and flora and bringing them back.
EXPLORATION: Exploration quests include some risks, depending on where you go. In these quests, you must just simply explore an area! Construct a basic map, list of flora and fauna, and bring it back to us.
ELIMINATION: Elimination quests are similar to hunting, but carry much greater risk. In these quests, you can be asked to do either of the following: you can either be called to take down a large beastie, or you will exterminate a large infestion of beasties. It varies, but just know you will be fighting nature's strongest during Elimination quests!
ENSNARE: Ensnare quests are useful for a variety of reasons. In these quests, you will be tasked with capturing a beastie ALIVE. These creatures will later be tamed, and either domesticated, used for war, or other purposes.
DELIVERY: These quests are important for those requesting them. In Delivery quests, you will either be given an item to safely transport to a different location, or you will escort a group of people to deliver items or goods to their destination.
INVESTIGATION: Investigation quests are interesting. While similar to Exploration quests, in Investigation quests you are largely asked to investigate about crime, murders, and other mysterious things that happen within villages and kingdoms.
NEGOTIATION: Negotiation quests are more diplomatic in nature. Say, for example, there is a goblin camp going to attack a village. You will be tasked with communicating with the goblins and persuading them to call off their attack. These quests can be dangerous if things go south, as you will usually be surrounded by the enemy if you plan to negotiate with them.
PROTECTION: Protection quests are quests where you are tasked with defending a village or some populated area from invaders / attackers.
ATTAIN: Attain quests are akin to treasure hunting. In these quests, you will be tasked with recovering an item or artifact and safely bringing it back.
RESCUE: Much like attain quests, instead of recovering an item or artifact, you will be tasked with rescuing someone or something!
BOUNTY: In Bounties, you will be tasked with eliminating or capturing a wanted criminal.
SIMULACRUM: Simulacrum quests are simply visits to the Simulacrum to combat the creatures in there!
COMBINATION: Combination quests are, as the name suggests, a quest with multiple types / objectives!
MYSTERY: Mystery quests are, as the name suggests, mysterious. Anything could happen in these quests, we simply don't know.
Active quests can be found on the bounty board in the Adventurer's Tavern, located in outer San d'Oria. Simply speak to Arthritis or Scoliosis, or consult the bounty board for available quests.
(In this discord server, you can find ALL quests in #guild-quests. We'll try to pump them out as quick as we are able, but remember it'll take time. Quests you can complete still will have (OPEN) in the post name, while quests that have been completed will have (CLOSED) in the post name.)
Adventurer Parties / Teams
For all quests, you cannot simply go on your own! Not only can you die during quests, but that's no fun if only one single person does it.
You must gain companions on your quests. Every quest will have a minimum and maximum amount of people allowed to embark on the journey.
If one of your companions is a lower rank than you, for example if you chose a quest for GOLD adventurers, and your companion is SILVER, they cannot come with.
Keep in mind, every quest has a different number of adventurer's required to complete it. You will form your teams by talking with the other adventurers upon selecting a quest.
The Simulacrum

The Simulacrum
The Simulacrum is a pocket realm created by the me, and is a way for you all to fight previously slain foes. Whether it be a weak Theocracy Crusader or a Mechithrall, all the way up to even Jericho and the Pope of the Theocracy, all are able to be captured in here! By retrieving a relic of the thing you wish to bring into the Simulacrum (a weapon, a body part, etc), through a process you don't need to worry about, we are able to replicate whoever the relic belonged too! There is a flaw with this, however....while we can replicate them, they are not as strong as the original. To do this, you will need to capture their soul. This can be harder for some foes rather than others! Luckily, we don't necessarily require the WHOLE soul. Even if it is only a fragment, we can (through yet another shady process) COMPLETELY replicate the individual! Please note that if it is a SMALL fragment, they will be unstable.
By the way, once they are a perfect replica of the original, some of them might have hidden abilities, never before seen until now, used against YOU all as they fight you in the Simulacrum!
That image is the realm itself!
Pretty cool, if I do say so myself!
Anyways, enough chitchat.
Let's get into how it works!
This is the part where you scroll down.
Simulacrum Entries
Simulacrum foes will be classified on a difficulty level from 1-6.
The difficulty scaling is as follows:
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 1: ORC
These foes tend to not be immensely strong, but still have the strength capable of destroying a village.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 2: DEMON
These foes have the strength capable of destroying multiple villages.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 3: DRAGON
These foes have the strength capable of eliminating hundreds of thousands of lives.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 4: COLOSSUS
These foes have the strength capable of leveling / destroying an entire kingdom.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 5: TITAN
These foes have the strength capable of leveling / destroying multiple different kingdoms at once.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL 6: CELESTIAL
These foes possess such a power that they are capable of wiping out Cynderin itself.
The more difficult a foe is, the greater a reward you will receive for defeating them!
Please note, just because a difficulty level is named after a certain thing (for example, Level 2 is Demon) does not mean that it's only full of whatever that thing is.
The foe in question is ranked based on their strength, not race or what they are.
Questions
Now, I hear you saying "Well Arthritis, this is great and all, but I have a few questions."
Go on ahead, reader! Ask your questions!
#1. What's the purpose of this? Also, what happens if I die here?
Well, not only for preserving these powerful (and not-so-powerful foes), but also to provide you all an experience. The Simulacrum allows you to relive the fight with these strong foes! By defeating them, you will gain monetary reward at the Guild. They are not slain forever, and are never truly gone while in the Simulacrum. Through the same process used to preserve the captured, we can also preserve YOU as well! If you happen to die in the Simulacrum, you will simply be "revived" in a sense. However, after an ABSURD amount of deaths (upwards of 10) there is a chance you can be thrust out of the pocket realm.
#2. How can I gain the relics to put people in the Simulacrum?
Dumb question, but okay. Obviously, we will post special Guild Quests specifically for hunting down relics of powerful individuals, or even their souls, so that we can "immortalize" them within the Simulacrum! Getting their souls is more difficult, so more often then not there will be 2 quests per foe; one for a relic, and one for their soul. And to clarify, they CANNOT escape the Simulacrum (or so we think.)
#3. How can I fight specific foes, and view which are available to fight?
You will be able to find the Simulacrum entries in the #simulacrum-entries forum in the discord server.
Done with all your questions?
Yep. Thanks!
Good! Now get out of my sight.
Editor's Note, from Arthritis' Crew: Arthritis has been staring at the heads mounted on the Guild's walls and speaking to them as if they were asking him questions while he wrote this. We think he's gone insane.
