Even though the DISEC committee decided to make only one resolution, resolution 1.4 was passed in the unmoderated caucus at the end of the MUN session.
The resolution's sponsors were Pakistan, Qatar, and Iraq, and it was approved by all of the delegates. The delegates were trying their best under the guidance of the dias panel from the first practice session and they grew, to the point that their last resolution for the committee was almost perfect.
"I am very pleased with the resolution presented by the delegates," said the committee Chair (Aayush Dhakal), "It may be because it is the final MUN session that the delegates are much more active and energetic today."
The resolution included four preambulatory clauses, which included Recognizing that the misuse of arms leads to global conflict, Assuring that international arms trade can contribute to peace, Understanding the importance of analyzing arms after their trade and prohibiting illegal arms trade, as well as not wishing for war after trading arms internationally, and 5 operational clauses. The clauses included: Only engages in legal international arms trades; Encourages countries to join the ATT; Also includes diplomatic relations after trades; Solicits other countries to engage in conflict without resorting to the use of force; Applauds everyone's contribution to global peacekeeping.
“We are extremely proud and happy that the committee was working extremely fine and was extremely active,” stated the vice chair of the committee(Aryan Thapa) who further added, “to be able to host and be a part of this wonderful journey is truly a blessing.”
During the last few moments of the committee, the delegates wrote notes about the dias panel and the dias panel read the news in front of the committee. Everyone was enjoying and many points of entertainment were also raised to make the dias panel dance but were rejected by the dias panel.
