Two resolutions were formed in LP2 in the final session of the TES MUN 2022 to solve the climate change problems by a majority vote going towards Resolution 1.0.
There were two resolutions formed by LP2, but resolution 1.0 was passed and the sponsors involved in this resolution were Janardhan Sharma, Mahanta Thakur, Sher Bahadur Deuda, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The resolution, which wasn't passed and is lacking in many regions, was sponsored by Kp Sharma Oli, Raghubir Mahaseth, Lal Babu Pandit, and Yogesh Bhattrai.
The reason Resolution 1.0 was passed was due to the operative clauses being better in many aspects than the other resolutions and accepting everyone’s opinions on the view of the positive impact of development, encouraging alternatives to petroleum to reduce its burning effect and stop rapid climate change, urges fewer greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc and requests every party to care of the problem being faced and help them be solved, which was one of the major reasons the resolution 1.0 was passed. They were successful in adopting the idea of technological agriculture to adapt farmings to climate change, and they consider everyone’s work important in all sectors like health, economy, and environment for the reduction of climate change, approve teaching farmers a more careful way of farming and adapt to the climate change condition and Discourages dropping construction works halfway and burning of plastics at construction sites. Encourages unity among all parties and solves the issue fast. They were also very successful in attracting other delegates to their resolution due to the resolution and the delegates involved in it. Stresses the continuing need for an early warning system and spreading of awareness to stop the damage from being done furthermore. As these points were very strong the committee’s debates ended with this final decision.
"The delegates had a great resolution and, in particular, there were a lot of debates that even conducted a bitter exchange of words." said the chair of the committee (Sakshyam Adhikari).
The committee even started a point of entertainment at the end and the delegates forced the Dias panel as well as the crisis head to dance, and they were successful.
