A warm welcome to the delegates of ECOSOC.

Firstly, you deserve an applause for actually participating and stepping out of your comfort zones. Here is a great opportunity on your doorstep to learn real life issues and enhance your debating skills.

Consider this a safe place, a place your ideas and voices are heard. MUN is not just an advantage for a good portfolio but it teaches you a lot. Nervousness is always the first step to achieve great things. I was too. Speaking even a few words at first was really a big deal. The way I personally dealt with it was by viewing it as a pleasure rather than something to get over with. We, as a committee, encourage you to present yourself boldly, strive for your highest potential, push yourselves, do not settle, speak your mind with pride. Knowing that you have possibilities is the greatest luxury. Knowing that I might have given them to you is a matter of prider for me. Furthermore, everyone is capable of creating and doing great things. There's no such thing as "I can't." This mindset truly drowns oneself.

If by any means you fail at achieving some position you really wanted, know that you have still won, for many might have wanted to get to where you are at now. And so what if you failed? You learned, you lived, it's the true definition of excelling. So strive for that excellence by learning, growing and exploring.

As a Vice chair of the ECOSOC committe, I am very glad to stand here in front of you. In my opinion, MUN is a golden opportunity for the students. For me, MUN is a platform to help the participants grow and excel not only in academics, but also in real life. I, as a student, am learning and gaining so much knowledge about my country as well as other countries in the world. The current situation, problems and solutions can be easily identified through MUN. So, delegates in the committee, increase your confidence, speak out loud and make the most out of the opportunity given to you.

Dear delegates,

We have successfully been able to resume our grand MUN physically after the pacification of COVID-19. This just opens a clear path for everybody to engage and sharpen their skill. MUN is not just a program conducted as a mere activity. It's there to help every delegate open their mind and their voice and shine as high as every delegate possibly could. Knowledge is not everything in life. Life is all about knowing what to learn, learning it and expressing it in front of others. As a moderator of ECOSOC, I believe every delegate can speak well if their tongue can deliver the message of their heart and mind. So don't back down, come in the front, and grab this opportunity given by The Excelsior School to everyone!
