Legislative Parliament - 3
Dear delegates,
I am pretty sure you will skip this part and just go forward. But if you have the time to read this, and the willingness, please take it to your heart. I am neither a preacher nor a scholar on this topic. My last year’s MUN was decent. The performance that I did was probably not up to par for a chair. I am not a confident speaker. I find it hard to express the ideas I believe in. I felt I would be wrong. I felt I would be laughed at. I feared that people would ask questions that I wouldn't be able to answer. It was all due to my lack of confidence.
But I don’t want it to happen to you all. This is a chance where you learn, not where you dream about being the best delegate. Like a great person once said, “Don't run after success, chase excellence, success will follow you.” It doesn’t matter what you say, whether it is right or wrong. The only thing that matters is that you are saying something and there is logic behind your words. Saying much does not make you the best, however saying less but having more impact is the way to betterment.
I request you to do a lot of research. The trick to doing well is plenty of research. Don’t research hard and spend hours on it, research smart and properly. Don’t think my position here is to teach you as a replacement teacher. I am not here to teach you complex mathematics and science. I will guide you and share my experiences with you.
Take me as a friend, and then we can guide TESMUN 2079 towards success together.
Best of Luck for TESMUN 2079.
Thank You!
As the saying goes, "The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty."
Opportunity isn’t some lucky chance. You ought to work hard to achieve it. Opportunity is the masked veil of untapped potential that is within all of us, and in this opportunity, I believe. I think that being able to take part in MUN is one of those opportunities. You must make the most of the cards you are dealt. The only key to succeed in this is to make sure that what you are doing is seen by the Dias members.
Because there are fewer speeches and more delegates, you must emphasize actions whenever possible. Carry out plenty of research and deliver with confidence. Remember that other delegates will try similar strategies as well, and petty argumentation will cost you points. Always maintain your composure and avoid shouting. Bring a positive mindset and avoid taking things personally. If you follow these guidelines, you should be alright. However, regardless of whether you win the best delegate award or not, you will always be a winner.
Best wishes delegates, you've got this.
Dear delegates,
You’re warmly welcomed to Legislative Parliament 3. This year, as the situation has seemed to be better than the previous year, TES has decided to conduct the MUN program physically. You all may not be familiar with the TESMUN program as most of you are part of this for the first time working as a delegate. MUNs are simply debate programs where you have to present your points and views and argue with the facts. MUN can be a platform where you can enhance your speaking, arguing, and critical thinking skills. Speak up, even though you have got a shaking voice because your points can help you to argue with your opponents. I hope you all will cooperate with the Dias panel and help us to make this program a successful one. All in all, I would like to wish all of you to make the committee active. Good luck delegates.
