Dear Delegates,
“As long as enthusiasm holds out, so will opportunities.”
I remember my first day of the MUN committee: scared and confused. I questioned myself a lot but once I spoke and expressed my thoughts, I could not stop. With every word I spoke, I voiced something important and that made me feel proud. And this year, although I won't be a delegate, I will be holding the responsibility of running a committee, and I promise to do it wholeheartedly.
MUN is an opportunity that should not be taken lightly, It's a platform immensely important to all the delegates. It might be hard to express your thoughts on topics so different from the ones you talk about. But be aware that these topics will only enhance your knowledge regarding the issues about the world, all the while making you a better and more confident speaker. As the chair of UNEP and a former delegate, I assure you MUN is not something you should be afraid of but rather an opportunity you need to grasp. So delegates, remember committees won’t be perfect unless you delegates make it. There will be errors, and mistakes but it won't be anything impossible to overcome.
I am rooting for you people!
A warm welcome to all the delegates in the MUN 2079. Last time, the MUN was held online, so almost all of the delegates are new in physical MUN. MUN simply means pouring your thoughts on something. It's just a debate, but a formal debate. Everything goes according to procedure. If the delegates have a dilemma at any point, feel free to ask me or other dais members. We are here to solve your problems and make you people capable of speaking in masses. While debating, you just have to be confident and speak facts. No one can defeat you!
Success is not final;
Failure is not fatal;
It is the courage to continue that counts.
Dear amazing delegates,
Welcome to your first physical TESMUN. Seeing all your seniors represent different countries and being in a committee must have always made you all curious and right now you all are getting that chance to be a part of the MUN ceremony. MUN is an extra-curricular activity in which students typically roleplay delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. We all know nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity. You all are given a golden opportunity to be a part of this ceremony and trying your best is all that is expected. You all are the brightest stars that can outshine one another. Don't be afraid to embrace what is unique among yourselves and speak out your thoughts based on the topics. As your moderator, all I expect from you amazing delegates is to practice, to develop your abilities and to try your best.
We can be successful together only when you build your confidence, research well, argue, get to the best resolution and be the best leader of oneself.
