Interview with the Principal
(Interview team-1 under the Press committee approached Mr. Prashant Rajak, the principal of the school.)
Interviewer: Good morning sir! Thank you for sparing your time from your busy schedule. How is your day going on?
Interviewee: I am feeling very good and how are you?
Interviewer: We are feeling great too and what do you think the students are feeling?
Interviewee: I think they are very happy. They all are engaged and learning something new.
Interviewer: Since the time TES MUN was organized for the first time in 2012, what has been the motive for organizing it so far?
Interviewee: So since the year 2012, it has been a very precious moment for all of us. We here at school all believe that our students should get up most of all the exposure that is possible for them. Having TES MUN as part of our curriculum is the same. We want our students to be engaged. We want them to expose their things and at last, we want them to excel.
Interviewer: Is the MUN session going how you expected? If not, what should be done in your opinion to improve the effectiveness of MUN sessions?
Interviewee: Ok, talking about MUN sessions so far, it's been many days I have been observing the sessions, and what I find is that the students are really into the sessions, we find them like debating about different things that are going on, they are bringing up the topics but still what we feel is they can do much better, for that you people need to have the deeper understanding about the all the topics that are related to it. Not just surficial knowledge. So rather than having just surficial knowledge and just talking briefly about that. If you people learn a lot of things about that it can be a good opportunity for you people to know about the different kinds of aspects in the same topic over there. Suppose you are representing any of the committee's programs, so you will have to know its capital, what are its social, and economic aspects of the country, what are its foreign policies, and everything will come from there. So it may cover the whole social studies curriculum related to the topic. So it will be better than having just surficial knowledge, deeper understanding is required.
Interviewer: Roles have been switched annually, which has assisted students in the development of new talent. This year many new students have expressed interest in participating in MUN sessions. However, due to the quarantine period, students appeared to be less confident. What do you think about it?
Interviewee: Yes, there are a lot of changes that we have faced, not only in this MUN session but during the teaching-learning process too but I believe it is like if they are weaker in a small part they have been better in some other parts too. Talking about the technological part, they have become much better which has been able to teach teachers as well in terms of catalog ist.
Also, not only is the curse but has also been a MUN in respect to the students to explore more new things. But, during the pandemic held for around 2 years they were bound to stay in their class ad the students who are performing as the dias or the committee members also, it might have been their first exposure also so that has brought up some sort of disturbance but on I believe on all my students that they can do it.
Interviewer: What would you do if you discovered that students are falsifying moderators to get better grades? And what would you do to prevent it so that it doesn't happen again?
Interviewee: I always believe in conscience so everybody needs to use their conscience. So the same is with everyone here. So if everyone tries to do false things or they just try to bring out the false things it's not going to help them either in their life. So using the conscience of the dias members is very important. If you think you can cheat then you can cheat everyone in the world except yourself. So if you think you are happy with cheating then I have nothing to say.
Interviewer: How do you feel about the fact that this is the first time MUN has been physically organized following quarantine?
Interviewee: It's an opportunity for everyone once again. Being together and working together.
Interviewer: What could be done to improve TES MUN going forward?
Interviewee: Everyone needs to work hard, and everyone needs to understand the ethics, the core values of the school. So if that is understood I hope it will get better.
Interviewer: It was a great time with you. Thank you so much, sir.
Interviewee: You're welcome.
Interview with the Managing Director
(Interview Team 2 under the press committee approached the Managing Director of The Excelsior School, Mr. Ram Basnet.)
Interviewer: Good morning sir! Thank you for sparing your time from your busy schedule. How is your day going on?
Interviewee: Day is going smoothly, fun, fantastic, to see you young people around doing an amazing job.
Interviewer: Shall we start your interview?
Interviewee: Yes, please.
Interviewer: Have you ever participated in MUN in your school/college?
Interviewee: Make a guess.
Interviewer: I guess yes.
Interviewee: Not. Because during our time, we never got exposure like this. We used to have debate competitions in school but we never got exposure like this where each and everyone gets to participate and express their views. Only a few selected students who were very good at speaking got an opportunity because I used to play sports more than engaged in co-curricular activities more of an E.C.A person.
Interviewer: According to you, how does MUN help students in their life?
Interviewee: I think the most important thing in life is to represent yourself. Once you get exposure like this you can build good confidence among yourself, you can put your views, you can debate, you can make the right judgments and you are confident to put your views strong in front of others. If you can do that, people will see you as a stronger person but if you are not able to put your views correctly, then people will see you as a much weaker person. So I think it is an important platform student will get and as you all are the ambassadors of the future, you are going to be world leaders. So then this is an opportunity and I think everyone should take this opportunity.
Interviewer: How do you feel about the fact that this is the first time MUN has
been physically organized following quarantine?
Interviewee: No, I think it's been organized before also but I think because of the covid situation you were not able to do it. For me, I think I feel really happy. You know that we were able to survive the situation and we have become more resilient. I think this time because I could see a new committee as well. After all, if you had seen your brothers and sisters doing it, you would have just done the same. So when you are getting an opportunity to do something new, you could always get something beautiful out of it as well. So I think, for this TES MUN I see that you have added more especially in the IT part as well, I enjoyed it and am proud of you. It's not about enjoyment, being proud when I see my students doing well then it makes me feel proud. So I think you have done an amazing job, you have been creative and I hope you have a successful TES MUN.
Interviewer: How do you think grade 10 will organize the MUN this year
taking into account that this is my first time working as a leader for MUN
without absorbing their seniors that closely?
Interviewee: So, let me give you an example of the covid situation. Did we ever expect that such a thing would come? No one had expected it, right? A pandemic would occur but we survived. We were able to be more resilient and keep ourselves locked up and where it impacted us, the family members, and everybody emotionally as well but we coped with the situation. So that means that was something new, and then we found a solution to it as well. So this is something new, so without observing others, I can confidently say that you will do and you are doing much better than your brother and sisters and once you set this benchmark, now it will be the role of your younger brother and sisters to do much better than you. So if you do your best today, then others will follow you and will do much better.
Interviewer: What effects did the absence of a MUN session have on students
during the pandemic?
Interviewee: I think we conducted virtual MUN so I wouldn’t say its absence I would say not effective. It could not be as effective as the way it's happening here and the way it used to happen. So that’s all.
Interviewer: Thank you so much, sir.
Interviewee: Wonderful talking to you all.
Interview with the Secretary General
(The Interview team-1 under the press committee approached the secretary general and asked him for an interview in the staff room)
Interviewer: Good morning Mr. Panta!
Sec gen: Good morning!
Interviewer: How is the weather today?
Sec gen: The weather today seems cloudy but delegates are shining.
Interviewer: Now, let’s proceed to the questions.
Sec gen: Sure.
Interviewer: Are you satisfied with the work done by the dias panel?
Sec gen: I am satisfied with the work done by the dias panel but even looking at the delegates from grade 7 to grade 8 where they are in the national committee, the understanding of procedure inflates me and I am satisfied with their work. There is always room for error but looking at their achievements and their progress, I am happy about it.
Interviewer: What does MUN mean to you?
Sec gen: It is an emotion, a culture, in our school with dias in formal uniform, enthusiastic delegates.
Interviewer: Why did you choose this position as the secretary general?
Sec Gen: More than me, choosing it. I was selected for it. It was a competitive fight. Let's say, my competitors, the ones that were fighting for this competition, did a really good job. But I guess it was my art that I would be secretary general. The actions of the past and them being such an epitome to me, the motivation that I decided for this position.
Interviewer: How are you carrying out your obligation as the sec gen?
Sec gen: Well there are a lot of obligations when you are the sec gen. Of course, you have to look after everything. With great power comes great responsibility, so you being secretary general, you need to note that down and you need to have that patience in you to handle stuff that is in TESMUN.
Interviewer: Which part of TESMUN 2022 was the best for you?
Sec Gen: There is not a particular part that I favor. But seeing new content on the website, the IT team is doing well. The press team in fact recording this is better than the last time MUN was held physically when I was in the press team. I could tell by that. It is a new venture. We are coming out of a 2 year long harsh lockdown, but looking at the progress, I am happy about it.
Interviewer: What are your strategies to conduct this MUN more effectively?
Sec gen: The strategy is that I focus more on committees as they are the core part of MUN. The agenda that is being discussed sometimes if the delegates are feeling bored, delegates, are not performing that well, I could go to the committees to inspire them and motivate them. I think such as reminding the dias of certain procedures, so I mainly focus on committees as a part of my strategy. Otherwise, there is always the strategy of speaking and communication. Skills that come in handy for the delegate and of course, understanding the importance of MUN.
Interviewer: What is your first memory of MUN?
Sec gen: My first memory is that back in grade 7, I was on the press team. I was interviewing many people. I was interviewing teachers mostly. I was scared, I was nervous but that memory is very special to me because those memories were what shaped me into the Secretary-General I am today.
Interviewer: How many MUN sessions have you participated in?
Sec gen: As a delegate, I have participated, I have participated in two MUN sessions, which were both virtual.
Interviewer: According to you, what are the 3 words that best describe MUN?
Sec gen: Intellectuality, Cooperation, and Coordination.
Interviewer: Do you have any favorite MUN committee?
Sec gen: Not in particular but hearing some voices of the delegates in powerful committees, reminds me of the good old days.
Interviewer: Which is the strongest committee and why?
Sec gen: Well I cannot particularly say because the committees are supposed to be formal. Let's say, this year we have added ECOSOC, which is more focused on economic and social issues. So realizing that it's a bit of a formal committee and some LPs are also aggressive, some are powerful, powerful in the sense, could be based on the delegates’ voices and logical arguments being presented.
Interviewer: Which committee do you prefer? Nationals or Internationals?
Sec Gen: Well I appreciate, both on their respective levels. I appreciate nationals because they are coming straight with no ideas of MUN and they are performing so well. They have a good understanding of procedures and they are representing logical arguments. As for international committees, they have been a part of one MUN session before and they are doing well as any other committee.
Interviewer: What qualities should a good delegate pose?
Sec gen: A good delegate should possess negotiation skills, put forward new ideas, and of course logical arguments.
Interviewer: What abilities do you acquire from the MUN?
Sec gen: Negotiation skills, Communication skills, and overall managerial skills with intellectual knowledge and knowledge of different views and dealing with the crisis.
Interview: What advantage does MUN offer to an individual?
Sec Gen: They get their communication skills, understand the dynamics of world politics, they are more complete with the eclectic background the world has to offer.
Interviewer: Any advice for the juniors?
Sec gen: You should speak for the voices that have been silenced, you would do great in any MUN if you do so. Focus on fluency, and flawlessness and do research.
Interviewer: What is the best way to relax at MUN?
Sec gen: I could not tell you because I have a lot of work but I would suggest mediation to release pressure.
Interviewer: What do you like the most about this year’s MUN?
Sec gen: There are a lot of things that I like. If I think from the point of view of a delegate, we have this physical platform where we could put forward ideas, we could exercise motion of entertainment where the chairs and the dias have to dance along with me. So I think that this is the part I like about MUN.
Interviewer: Thank you so much for your precious time.
Sec gen: Thank you so much
Interview with the Chair of LP-1
(The interview team-1 under the press committee approached the chair of LP-1 and asked him for an interview)
Interviewer: Good Morning. How are you?
Interviewee (Chair): I am fine. How about you?
Interviewee: Can we take some time for a few questions?
Interviewee (Chair): Yes, sure.
Interviewer: Let’s start by talking about your journey from a delegate to the chair of a committee. How has your experience been overall?
Interviewee (Chair): So, last year when I was in grade nine I was a delegate of Brazil in WHO Committee. I was not so sure about the procedures and not sure about the confidence level but when I started speaking and researching in MUN, My confidence level rose up and I got an award of special mention in the MUN session. So, I was very glad.
I also went to RBS MUN-2022 just this year and I also won verbal mention over there. I was a delegate of the legislative parliament. It was a good experience after that my confidence level went high once again and I would like to say that being a delegate is not hard but not easy at the same time. You have to have confidence in yourself and you can achieve anything you want.
Interviewer: What strategies have you employed as the chair to run your committee?
Interviewee (Chair): So to run the committee the strategies that I employed are telling the delegates how they would be evaluated and making them do a lot of research and making awesome videos to bring their confidence level up. And, I also supported the views of delegates who don’t like to speak much so that they would speak more and the committee would run smoothly.
Interviewer: Can you give brief insight on the committee’s topic?
Interviewee (Chair): Okay, the committee’s topic for the second practice session is Social Issues and Superstations in Nepal and its solutions. So they will basically talk about the cause and social issues that are prevalent in our country. So, we can discuss it further and the delegates can get knowledge about it. So that we can make further plans and policies about Social Issues and Superstations and as for the final session we have over unbalanced migration in Nepal and its effects and its solutions so that we can solve it in Nepal.
Interviewer: What is the current crisis being discussed in the committee?
Interviewee (Chair): The current crisis that the committee is discussing about woman trafficking. 20 women were trafficked and rescued by Nepal Police. At the Nepal India border several ministers including the ministers of women’s, children’s and elderly people were also thought to be involved in the situation.
Interviewer: After a long time, MUN is being held physically in the school, what are the
Challenges you faced during your volunteering efforts?
Interviewee (Chair): So the first challenge that I faced was that I was not familiar with the procedure of MUN physically. Virtual and physical MUN were completely different. Like in virtual MUN, we would just click a button and our hand would be raised but in physical MUN we can’t know which delegates raised placards first and the voice of delegates is not clear and nice so even if the delegates present their views nicely we can’t hear them properly because of their voices.
Interviewer: How is participation of delegates in your committee?
Interviewee (Chair): Okay, so all the delegates participated out properly in our committee. All the delegates present their view properly and respectfully to all the delegates in the committee.
Interviewer: Do you have any advice or suggestions for the delegates of your committee?
Interviewee (Chair): So the only advice for the delegates is to be confident and do ample amount of research so they can speak during the committee.
Interviewer: Thank you for giving your precious time to our team.
Interviewee (Chair): Thank you.
Interview with the Chair of LP-2
(The interview team-2 under the press committee approached the chair of LP-2 for an interview)
Interviewer: Good morning ,how are you?
Interviewee: I am fine thank you.
Interviewer: Can you spare some time for our questions?
Interviewee: Yes sure
Interviewer: Ok so let’s start with your journey from delegate to a chair. How was your experience overall?
Interviewee: Umm the skill has been really amazing because when i was delegate i got to experience the virtual side of the mun and when i am chair right now i got to experience physical side of the mun.So getting to know everything and delegate i got to speak i increased my debating skill and as a chair i am increasing my leadership skills so its been really amazing.
Interviewer: Can you give a quick insight to the committee topic?
Interviewee Our topic for final is climate change, its consequences and challenges faced by Nepal. Climate change is a really major problem not only in Nepal but also in the entire world, so talking about these topics and implementing them is really necessary. All political parties need to act on it. In Nepal there are 2350+ glaciers and in Nepal if those glaciers melts then Nepal could be flooded so actions need to be taken.
Interviewer: What are the current topics you are facing in your committee sessions?
Interviewee: Am I allowed to say the crisis?
Interviewer:Yes
Interviewee: Ok yes our crisis is “There is glacier melt down the parties need to act on it.”Someone is encouraging the use of fossil fuels and other parties need to act on it.
Interviewer:After a long time, MUN has been held physically in the school. What have been your challenges during the volunteering effort?
Interviewee: Yea, It's ok i got to experience how the dias panel would behave. It was in MUN virtually so i didn't know what would happen. But now with the help of our MUN coordinator sir and our teamwork it has been great because I have got to experience various things and there are not many difficulties because team members are working in a team.
Interviewers: How are these delegates participating in your team?
Interviewee: The delegates are opposing other teams are opposing other teams ideas and are supporting their allies ideas right now they are giving GSL and they are asking point of information and the committees are running smoothly and it has been really nice
Interviewer: What is the advice that you would give to your delegates?
Interviewee: One thing i want to advise is that they need to have confidence they should think that they can do it because this is the platform they are going to build their confidence so they must be ready and all chairs should encourage them and they must not hide behind. They must be present and keep trying no matter what others say.
Interviewer: Thank you for your precious time.
Interview with the Chair of LP-3
(The interview team-2 under the press committee approached the chair of LP-3 for an interview)
Interviewer:Good afternoon, How are you?
Interviewee: I am fine, what about you?
Interviewer: I am fine too, Could you spare a couple of minutes for a few questions?
Interviewer: Yea sure.
Interviewer:Let's start by talking about your journey from a delegate to the chair of a committee. How has your experience been overall?
Interviewee: As a delegate I was not so active in the committee. I didn't speak much as well but as a chair now I have to be directly involved in the committee. I am really improving myself and I am trying to involve myself too.
Interviewer: How is your committee doing?
Interviewee: my committee working good even though it was not doing well in first half but now it is improving smoothly
Interviewer:Can you give a brief insight on the committee topic?
Interviewee: The topic of our committee is reason effect and solution of possible economic crisis in Nepal i is related to the economic crisis of Sri Lanka which is going on and as a fellow SAARC country and near member of sri Lanka there is possibility of economic crisis in nepal as well.
Interviewer:After a long time, MUN is being held physically in the school. What are your volunteering efforts?
Interviewee: I am being directly involved and it is a new experience for me and my delegate and we are trying our best together.
Interviewer: What did you enjoy about your committee?
Interviewee: The thing I enjoy about my committee is their activeness in the crisis. They speak really well, question and debate with each other.
Interviewer: What stops the delegates from speaking out during the sessions?
Interviewee: The main thing stopping from speaking during the session is uncertainty of being right or wrong while they speak and also not being sure about their research.
Interviewer:What advice would you like to give the delegates?
Interviewee:I would like to advice the delegates not thing about being right or wrong and expressing their opinion and views and depend on themselves while they speak.
Interviewer: Thank you for your precious time.
Interviewee: The pleasure is all mine.
Interview with the Chair of HRC
(The interview team-1 under the press committee approached the chair of HRC for an interview)
Interviewer: How is the committee running?
Chair: The Committee is running quite fine right now. It is running better than I was expecting.
Interviewer: What is the committee discussing?
Chair: The committee is discussing the matter of human rights in each of the delegates’ countries.
Interviewer: Why did you choose this particular chair position?
Chair: I chose this chair position because I always dreamt of being a leader so that I can try and achieve it according to what I want. I do not just hope but I want people to work alongside and work as a team.
Interviewer: What do you do when a delegate is constantly making up facts?
Chair: MUN is not just about answering questions and accusations thrown at them. It is also about thinking logically, practically, and analytically. It is also about speaking loud and conveying your thoughts. So, when a delegate is continuously making up facts, I encourage them to speak more logically and practically. To simplify, I would ask them to answer not the question “What?” but “How?” and “Why?”.
Interviewer: In your opinion, what makes a delegate the best delegate?
Chair: In my opinion, a delegate who thinks more logically when speaking up facts and not just research, a delegate who speaks up their mind clearly with words backed by facts, logic, and research, a delegate who understands the true concept behind their research and can clear up how and why there is right, in my opinion, is the best.
Interviewer: What makes a good chairperson? Do you consider yourself to be one?
Chair: Appreciating oneself from my suitable surroundings, I think everyone who is working for this place deserves it.
Interviewer: What are your strategies to conduct this committee?
Chair: There is no specific strategy. As a chair, I motivate every delegate to be logical and confident while speaking.
Interviewer: Thank you for your precious time.
Chair: You’re welcome.
Interview with the IT Head
(The Interview team-2 approached the IT Head for an interview)
Interviewer: Good Afternoon, IT Head!
IT Head: Good Afternoon!
Interviewer: May I take some of your precious time and ask you some questions?
IT Head: Sure, I don’t mind !
Interviewer: How is the IT team helping in this TES MUN?
IT Head: The IT team has done a lot of work to help the TES MUN. For the first time in 9 years, the team has created a podcast. The website is better than before and multiple videos have been created this time.
Interviewer: What are the main responsibilities of the IT team?
IT Head: The IT team is responsible for making and editing long or short videos, making podcasts, working with the reporters, the typists and many more.
Interviewer: How is the IT team working in collaboration with the Press team?
IT Head: Basically it’s like a relationship where the press team gives us the content and we publish the content. If there is no press team, we cannot get the content nor can we publish it.
Interviewer: How is your responsibility towards guiding the members to fulfil the responsibility been?
IT Head: It’s been tough. Some of the members don’t do much but I have to make them work so that I can fulfil the responsibility of being the head of the team, it a lot of hard work for all of us.
Interviewer: What major problems did the IT team face during the session?
IT Head: It was mainly the network problem but you could also say that the kids were not working. Are there other questions you want me to answer?
Interviewer: No, that’s all. Thank you for your precious time.
IT Head: You're welcome if you have any more questions don’t hesitate to ask.
Speech from the Chair of LP-1
Thank you, (MC)
Respected Chairperson and the secretary general of TES MUN 2022, Mr. Manaswi Pant, Honorable Chief Guest and Managing Director of the School Mr. Ram Basnet, Honorable Special Guest and Chairperson of the school Madam Sheetal Rana, Respected Administrative In charge Mr. Niraj Bickram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, Respected MUN Coordinator Mr. Govinda Gautam, Instructional Supervisors, Teachers, my colleagues in dais panel, fantastic delegates and hardworking IT team, press team members, and guests and everyone present in the closing ceremony of TESMUN2022.
To be honest, I am not a good speaker. I am neither an excellent motivational speaker nor a person who has an innate ability to speak very nicely. I am still not confident about how I speak and how I present my views. But I think I am standing here today as a chair of LP-1 because I tried.
I tried to speak
I spoke and felt.
I felt and spoke again.
I found it was working. I found I was improving. Bit by bit I started to see the picture. It grew larger and larger. I am still expanding it.
I think we all should explore our limits. If we are bound in a ring set by someone else, we will be like a pigeon in a cage who cut their wings of their own accord. Unless we unleash our full potential, we wouldn’t be able to have an eagle’s flight.
I am glad that I was able to become a chair in the Legislative Parliament - I in TESMUN 2022. I still remember the way I began my MUN journey as a press team in LP-II in TESMUN 2019. I still remember the way I struggled to speak at TESMUN 2020 as a delegate of Brazil. And now, I have created unforgettable memories with you, delegates, in TESMUN 2022. I have consciously banked these memories in my subconscious. When I feel low, I will definitely open the bank and bring it to my superconscious to pull me up. I know I will never forget the smiling faces, constantly raising hands and bold and confident voices. They were the defining features of our committee. Great delegates, I will cherish this memory that you have provided to me.
The delegates were the ones who kept the committee running throughout the MUN session. You all did a great job trying to speak your best. The way you all spoke was just amazing. I am glad that all of you tried your best. You all spoke so well even if it was your first MUN experience. You all did well.
To name a few of you here, I remember the way the delegate of Mohammad Estiyak Rai corrected other delegates. The research of the delegates of K.P Oli, Ghanashyam Bhusal, and Sashank Koirala never failed to amaze me. The delegates of Mahanatha Thakur, Gagan Kumar Thapa, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Matrika Prasad Yadav, Padma Kumari Aryal, and Janardhan Sharma’s active participation was what kept the committee alive. The loud and clarifying voice of Ishwor Pokharel always added some energy to me. Delegate Prem Suwal’s confidence never failed to amaze me.
Overall, the committee was fabulous. I enjoyed every moment and had a great time with you all. I hope that you will all do your best in the next MUN session. Hopefully, you all might have enjoyed the committee and made great memories for yourselves too.
Before leaving this podium, let me share one secret I have realized. After being a chair, I finally know what a teacher feels like to be in a classroom. I think I know the pain of the teacher when the students don't listen. I think I finally feel the joy of a teacher when the students ask questions and participate in classroom activities.
After this secret, let’s go for another tough secret. Who won the awards in the committee? So this is certification time. For the same, I would like to invite our committee in charge, respected Yadav Bhattarai sir, to the stage to hand over the certificates.
I would also like to invite my vice chair to the podium to announce the names of distinguished delegates.
Thank you!
Speech from the Chair of LP-2
Thank you, Anuska and Nilima. Thank you very much.
Good morning, Honourable chairperson of this closing ceremony and Secretary
General of TES MUN 2022, Mr. Manaswi Pant.
Honourable Chief Guest and the Managing Director of The Excelsior School Mr.
Ram Basent.
Honourable Special Guest and the Chairperson of The Excelsior School Madam
Sheetal Rana.
Respected Administrative Incharge Mr Niraj Bickram Rana, Respected Principal
Mr Prashant Rajak, Respected MUN Coordinator Mr Govinda Gautam, Incharges,
Supervisors, Teachers, delegates and my colleagues in the Dais panel
I feel honoured to be here addressing you today. I thank you all for entrusting the
responsibility of the chair of a committee to lead a group of wonderful people.
Delegates, you were wonderful. The things we did in the past two days were
wonderful. The impact that was made upon all of us was wonderful.
There were some catchy moments that I will cherish forever. I will never forget the smiling faces. I will never forget the debate that were done. I will never forget the dedication and I will never forget the experience that we all got to perceive.
In Legislative Parliament-2, we discussed the pertinent issues that are bogging our
system. We talked about nepotism and its effects, the lack of good governance and
its impact on the development of the country. The delegates also dwelt upon
reformation in the education system and Climate Change: its challenges and
consequences in Nepal. There may have been some time when our committee
faced some troubles. However, through coordination of all the delegates, clear
understanding between the dais and the delegates and teamwork in the committee,
our committee was able to come to a conclusion.
From the committee, after two days of deliberation, we have drawn a resolution
that the parties will be taking actions on the topic “Decreasing Amount of Snow in Nepali Himalayas due to Climate Change” which was passed by two-third majority of the members.
Dear delegates while doing all these, I sometimes, go back to my past and try to
connect the dots. I vividly remember staying in the computer lab and typing the
articles brought by reports. I read those articles which were larger than what I
could comprehend. I hardly understood the big term and jargon used in the articles
but I could make sense that they were of some importance.
I followed it. I had a big dream that I would be a delegate in one of the
parliamentary chambers the following year but the pandemic took all away. We
were confined to our homes. We are separated by the thing air wall only to
penetrate it via virtual means.
When we have a resurgent will no wall can confine us. We came back last year and
held the first virtual session of TESMUM. During that, I took up the role of
Delegate of Myanmar. It was a tough job. The country was marred by a military
coup. Democracy had got dismantled. Leaders were in confinement. People were
on the street and the military had been shooting protestors. To justify the ideology
that you do not live up to was the toughest part for me.
What good did it bring to me? Well, it taught me to research, frame arguments,
defend my arguments and see things critically. The personal transformation that
evolves within us as we work is the best part of the model United Nations sessions.
I feel happy to remember the moment when my name was announced as one of the
awardees for the best position paper.
Dear delegates I am going to give you the same moment now. Let me lead you to
the certification ceremony. We have a total of six awards: …
Best Party Profile, Best Position Paper, Special Mention,
Outstanding Delegate and Best Delegate.
To hand over the awards, I would like to invite our committee in-charge: Bipin
Koirala sir to the stage and I would like to invite my vice chair and moderator to
come forward to announce the names of the awardees and facilitate the
certification.

Speech from the Chair of LP-3
Thank you (MC) Good morning!
Honorable chairperson of this ceremony and Secretary General of TESMUN 2022 Mr. Manaswi Pant, Chief Guest of the programme and Managing Director of The Excelsior School, Mr. Ram Basnet, Our Special Guest and Chairperson of The Excelsior School, Madam Sheetal Rana, Respected Administrative In-charge, Mr. Neeraj Bikram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prasant Rajak, MUN Coordinator, Mr, Govinda Gautam, In-charges, Supervisors, dais members, delegates and everyone present here.
My sincere gratitude goes to the whole school management and the chairperson of the school for bringing in this MUN as an opportunity for us.
My journey to this event began as a reporter. I knew nothing. One morning, our teachers came to the class. They said we were going to have a MUN session. I wondered what It was. They started sorting the names. My name got sorted for the role of a reporter. I had rudimentary ideas of how to write a news story. I was hopeful that I would do it.
But when the event came, I entered the hall. I started to listen to the delegates. I could not make head and tail of the ideas they were sharing. Each word was hitting me like a bullet and I felt like I was a rock. Every word would hit me and fall without making any entry within.
Gradually, I started to research and read. I develop some vague ideas. I wrote reports. My seniors helped me. I learned something that got added to my inner portfolio.
I had a plan. I had thought I would rock the committee next year as a delegate. But the whole world got rocked by the pandemic. I was restless with so much rest.
My second experience at MUN came last year, virtually. Thanks to the internet, we were able to join and debate again.
This one, the third acquaintance to the Model United Nations, came to me with a great impact. I had a golden chance to lead a group of wonderful people.
LP3 was probably the committee with ups and downs. We began low. This everybody does. After some time, we picked up. We struggled and grew. That is what only a few do. You did delegates.
I really enjoyed the humorous replies of delegate Prem Suwal in the second practice session, who came with a drastic change in the final session. The vast research of the delegate of Bishal Bhattarai, which was nearly better than the dais panel’s, can’t say that as a chair I didn’t do anything. The sharp reply of delegate of Jhala Nath Khanal to the questions, which were nearly enough to keep the sec gen quiet as well. The “I am offended” reply of the delegate of Sashank Koirala still cracks me up at times. All the delegates questioning the delegate of Bhim Bahadur Rawal amazed me as I thought that my committee was a passive committee. The stressful answers of Bina Magar, still holding her fort while I questioned her acting as the delegate probably gave her confidence. I believe so.
I am pretty sure that some of you have hard feelings toward me. “How much can this Chair shout at us?” or “Why is this person speaking so much, even though he is just 2 years older than me?”. These might be the questions that are running through your mind.
Let me say that I speak with experience. You may ask any teacher that has taught me, you will probably get the same answer probably. “The boy who used to stutter when speaking and never came forward as well.” I am pretty sure of it. But this MUN has changed me. Would you like to remain as a person with no confidence or a person with confidence so high that you could rule the world? I repeat that I speak with experience.
I know this experience will be valuable to you in the days to come when you enter the real world. You have swum through the ocean; you could take as much water as you could. Question yourself, how much water you could take; how much you could make.
Leaving this question to you, I would like to move ahead with the certification. Now I humbly invite our committee in-charge Madam Kamala Kharel to distribute the certificates. I would also like to invite Moderator, Prasamsha Adhikari, to announce the names of the awardees.
Thank You!
Speech from the Chair of DISEC
Thank you, MCs,
“Your success is determined by your own confidence, your own willingness, and your own mindset”
Good morning honorable chairperson of this wonderful closing ceremony and Secretary General of TESMUN 2079 Mr. Manaswi Pant,
Honorable Managing Director and chief guest of the programme Mr. Ram Basnet,
Honorable School Chairperson and Special Guest of the programme Madam Sheetal Rana
Respected Administrative In-charge Mr. Niraj Bickram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, in-charges, supervisors, teacher, dear delegates, and my colleagues in the dais panels,
I am really delighted to be here with you as the chair of the DISEC committee under TESMUN.
Before the event, I was excited to take the role of the dais however I had no idea what I would do after taking up the role. When it really came to me, I was nervous. I vaguely knew that the only way to kill my nervousness was to research and built-up ideas. Then it all started burning late-night oil with burning eyes and an aching body.
I researched and found out what DISEC is, and I learned about all those exceedingly captivating matters going on around the world.
This MUN has been a wonderful one. Being the chair was a different perspective. Although the perspective was different, the beauty was the same. MUN is an event that can be enjoyed from any point of view, be that a delegate, or the dais, or logistics, or the press, or a spectator.
Being the chair of DISEC, I witnessed wonderful debates, mind-blowing facts, and unparalleled passion from the delegates. From the China-Taiwan conflicts to the aged long Israel-Palestine tug of war to India–Pakistan inimical relation, all of those debates and arguments were mesmerizing.
Being a delegate is an experience better than most of us think, it is something that can be experienced only when you are watching and not actually participating. When I was in the committee as a chair, I often felt that if I were one of those delegates right now, I would speak this way or that way. I would make this accusation or I would defend it that way. The beauty of being a delegate is subtle and can only be felt by the ones who have experienced it.
Being a chair was a different experience, it taught me many things, it taught me to listen, it taught me to guide and it taught me to give direction.
I took something away from the MUN, I took this experience and this knowledge.
All of you took something away from the event.
If not anything, you at least learned to listen.
Delegates, be proud of what you have done. Be proud of what you have spoken, and be proud of what change you have made in and after the MUN session.
Delegates I hope the research skills, cooperation skills, skills of consensus building, and skills of diplomacy you learned through this session would come to be really useful to you in days to come.
As we know what we do shapes us. This event must have shaped you in a better way than anything else. Yes, the event shaped you and you shaped the event. We have some recognition for those who shaped the event mover vividly. Thus, this is the time for certification. So, I would like to call upon our committee in-charge Bidur Lammichhane sir to give away the certificates to the distinguished delegates.
To announce the awardees, I would like to call my committee Vice Chair Mr. Aryan Thapa, and Moderator Mr. Ashutosh Dahal .
Thank you, delegate, and thank you everyone for providing this undeletable memory.
Thank you!
Speech from the Chair of HRC
Determination is what I considered a wake-up call to human will. Determination is guidance, the path for the opportunity. When difficulties fall some people shy away but a determined heart sees opportunities in every difficulty.
Good morning, Honorable chairperson of this closing ceremony and Secretary General of TESMUN 2022 Mr. Manaswi Pant, Honorable Chief Guest and Managing Director of our school Mr. Ram Basnet, Special Guest and School Chairperson Madam Sheetal Rana, Respected Administrative Incharge Mr. Niraj Bickram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, all the incharges, supervisors, teachers and delegates, and my dear friends.
I, the chair of the Human Rights Council (HRC), stand before you all proud and strong believing in what I stand for. Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is a success. That is what I learned from the overall session of the Model United Nations.
Coming together was the MUN simulation, the arrangement of desks and benches, neatly dressed delegates in their respective committees, and the enthusiasm they were filled with.
Keeping together was their mutual understanding and coordination they have learned to build throughout the MUN session and working together is a key to standing up for possible practical solutions to challenging issues.
Each and every new day coming up to the same committee, discussing the same agenda, and coming up with possible resolutions for problem-solving might seem easy to speak out theoretically.
However, every new day brings new challenges, various problems, and conflicts and we discussed the possible solutions to them. I believe that I am in a learning phase. This platform is an opportunity for me to interact with people having diverse opinions, perspectives, and concerns.
I believe the delegates in my committee have evolved into leaders, strong leaders, who can stand for what they believe and are capable of becoming. I know they are capable of being the voice of the unheard ones, they can tell the untold stories, and they can unveil the hidden truth and the bitter reality of the world. Talking about my personal opinion, I really was looking forward to the active participation of each and every delegate in my committee which I believe was there in a way or so.
The continuous flow of facts from the delegate of the USA, the counterattack by the delegate of Russia, the logical points delivered by the delegate of Palestine, and the precise but-to-the-point replies of the delegate of Syria were flabbergasting. Besides, supporting facts and figures represented by delegates of Pakistan, North Korea, and Nigeria as well as delegate of China is what I appreciate.
Moreover, the members of our dais committee, our vice chair, and the moderator were also supportive of me throughout the session. I appreciate all the efforts done by them for making the committee a better one. Last but not the least, all the press members and logistics belonging to the Human Rights Council are also worthy of my gratitude. I would like to thank each and everyone for making MUN such a memorable part of my learning. Lastly, I just want to say! Keep rising, keep shining because your one voice can make a huge difference. A HUGE!
Now, before I bid a farewell to you, I would like to invite my committee incharge Bhakti Shrestha sir for handing over the certificates to the respectives delegates who have proved themselves what they are and how much they are capable of. Similarly, I would also like to invite the vice Chair and Moderator to announce the names of awardees from the committee. Now is the time all the delegates here have been waiting for. Let’s first start with-
Best position paper- Yojana Adhikari (UK)
Best country profile- Diksha Rimal(Nepal)
Special Mention Award- Global Shrestha (North Korea)
Outstanding Delegates- Aananda Thapa Magar(USA), Simon Kandel(Russia)
And the most awaited one: BEST DELEGATE AWARD- Yashashwi Dahal(Syria)
Thank you Bhakti sir, vice chair and the moderator.
I would like to congratulate each and every delegate. Your true hardwork and determination has surely paid off. Since we have a limited number of awards, we had to select a few out of you all. But for sure, each and every one of you are equally capable of standing out.
Thank you all! Have a good day.
Speech from the Chair of UNEP
Good afternoon!
Honourable Chair of the ceremony and MUN Secretary
General Mr Manaswi Pant, Honourable Chairperson of Our School Madam Sheetal Rana, Honourable Managing Director Mr Ram Basnet, Respected Administrative Incharge Mr. Niraj Bikram Rana, Admirable Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, My honorable teachers, students,
invited guests and everybody present in this closing
ceremony of Tenth session of the TES MUN,
A part of a journey is the end and every journey comes to an end
And today the TESMUN 2022 ends. To think that was the quote I thought of to get through MUN as a delegate and now It's my last day as a dais member.
But I'm glad that I created memories with you.
I'm glad that I met you all.
I'm glad that I could be a chair of UNEP.
I’m glad that I could guide you all.
Not only has this experience been fruitful but also fun and thrilling. Being a chair sounded so scary before I entered the committee but after meeting you delegates, it felt like home. A home that made me feel confident. A home that could keep me going on even on dull days.
‘To be the chair of the United Nations Environmental Program has been a delightful opportunity for me. I was able to lead a group of bright students that voiced important things regarding the environment and how countries around the world are creating an impact on it. While leading you all in the committee, I felt like I was in a real meeting of specialists who were going to solve the issues related to the environment in the real world. Sometimes, the delegate's voice gave me goosebumps.
Every other year, we are surpassing the highest temperatures. We have longer droughts and heavier rain. Whether it was a heatwave in Europe or it was the flood in Pakistan, lives have been hit hard across the world. Climate experts have linked these with our manhandling of the natural environment.
During the last two days, we dwelt on these issues and we have come to certain conclusions. We have decided that we must work in managing mines. We must work on managing hazardous waste. We have to work together to find alternative sources of energy to wipe out the use of fossil fuels.
The decision we made in the hall is not a small thing. We know it is not going to affect the world leaders but we ourselves are striving to be the world leaders and I am pretty assured that once you, the delegates, come to the real world you will make the difference not only in your life but also people around you. Delegates, you did it. You have made it. I believe it was a great achievement.
as I and the other dais members hoped, you guys did not disappoint. With delegates of China and Canada always coming forward to fight with their words, delegates of Qatar and Singapore raising the placards so high to be visible, delegates of Israel, Japan, and Iraq maintaining balance by being logical, and the delegate of North Korea always surprising the Dias panel with funny reactions, everything about the committee will always remain special to me. Although there were minor shortcomings, perfection takes time. For running a successful committee, mistakes were almost inevitable.
Even though I will miss every aspect of being a chair, from holding a gavel, and running a committee to running inside the committee I am genuinely excited to see what next year will bring. Whatever it will be, I hope the upcoming batches will make us proud of their achievements and will continue to make MUN a sacred and important event for our school.
With best wishes for next year, I would like to end my words, but before I leave I would like to invite our committee in charge to distribute the certificates of recognition to the delegates and my vice-chair and moderator to join me in announcing the names of the awardees.
Thank you!!
Speech from the Chair of ECOSOC
Good afternoon,
Chairperson of this closing ceremony and Secretary General of TESMUN 2022 Mr Manaswi Pant,
Revered Managing Director and Chief Guest of the programme Mr Ram Basnet Honorable
Chairperson of the school and Special Guest of the programme Madam Sheetal Rana,
Respected Administrative Incharge Mr. Niraj Bikram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak,
Gracious MUN coordinator Mr. Govinda Gautam, all the respected incharges, supervisors, teachers, dedicated dais panel, Press members, logistics team, IT members and delegates,
I feel honored and humbled to be here and words are not enough to express my delight standing here in front of you. I am out of words to express my gratitude to my teachers for entrusting me with this responsibility.
I stepped up the moment I was announced as the chair of ECOSOC. I was hesitant, even scared. Scared of my nervousness, scared of the question and scared of the aftermath. This would have been the first physical MUN I participated in. Virtual and physical platforms differ and experiences in them too but the thing that shouldn’t alter is your passion. To think that I would be running a new committee for the entire school is just surreal. But, thanks to my teachers, fellow dais members and amazing delegates, we ran a successful committee. I also show my deepest gratitude to the moderator and vice-chair for their auriferous co-ordination.
During these two days, we have discussed ways to control the effects of the world socio-economic crisis . Delegates, your past two days aren't small talks. International conflicts and their possible solutions can’t be called a normal topic. Unity in the committee has helped us find a common ground and have successfully developed an inclusive plan for the solution of the crisis. After the two days of discussion we have created a plan for a prosperous world.
We would not have been able to reach this conclusion if it wasn’t for all of the energetic delegates. It reminded me of the time I got an opportunity to become a delegate to seek success even in a virtual medium. The tremendous pressure, the environment heating up in the committee is similar to what I experienced as a delegate. Also, confidence is not natural, it is something that you gain is something I had learnt. The only word I have in my mind after running the committee is “nostalgia”.
Remember delegates, there is no short cut to success. You and I have started our journeys the same way and look at me now, I am standing in front of everyone addressing you all. A little hardwork and determination changes the whole game. Delegates, you are the ones for the next year, you are the ones to guide your juniors, you are the ones to become the role model of the next delegates to come.
A part of the journey has ended for both you and me and I hope it will always be remembered by all of you. The factual based research of the delegate of Pakistan, the aggression of the delegate of Ukraine and Afghanistan, the “Why India?” expression of the delegate of India, the efforts kept by delegates to overwhelm the delegate of the USA, the remarks made by the delegate of Russia which got the entire committee laughing just made up the committee. Not to ignore the enthusiasm from all the delegates to fill the committee with joy and memories.
I hope this MUN was just as great an experience for you as it was for me. I know you are pumped up to know who outshone the committee and now is the moment that I let the air out and announce the winners. Today we might have five awardees in our committee but I am very proud that we have won as a committee. We have put forward solutions for global causes. Without any further delay I would like to invite the committee incharge on the stage to give away the certificate of recognition and committee Moderator Uddeshya Raj Adhikari to help with the process. Thank you, thank you very much
Speech from the Chief Editor/Press Head
Thank you [MC]
"A true leader has the
confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent."
Warm and pleasant good morning to
honorable chairperson and Secretary general of TESMUN-2022, Mr. Manaswi Pant, Chief Guest and Managing Director of school, Mr. Ram Basnet, Special Guest Chairperson of the school Madam Sheetal Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, Respected
MUN-Coordinator, Mr. Govinda Gautam, In-charges, supervisors, teachers, members in the Dias Panel, delegates, logistics team members, Members in the IT and Press committees,
It was an honor to lead the largest committee in the TESMUM 2022. We had more than 100 members who were working relentlessly to make this transitory event timeless.
As a team, we have taken snaps, we have prepared cartoons, we have taken interviews and frozen the moments in video and we have scripted the events in news stories. They will be available for all forever.
For that I would like to thank all the members in the committee. But for your help, nothing could have been possible.
The news that I would be leading this committee came to me as early as the year came. It was communicated to me by the press committee coordinator. I was a bit afraid if I could meet the expectation. I had some plan though I was never fully prepared.
When the event unfolded, there came other people claiming the position but I was lucky that the faith I earned continued.
I know we still need to work. When everybody finishes the work of our committee starts. We cannot do it beforehand. Someone’s ending is our beginning. Even after this closing ceremony my team members will be working on the story, editing and giving a finishing touch.
I assure you that the unflinching faith that you put on me will be turned down.
I along with my team members who were sitting in the chamber have gone through a transformation. Sitting with our patron, listening to him and talking to our teachers and taking their guidance now we have realized the basic nuances of journalism. I hope me and my deputies will be able to use the skills in our professional life as well.
There is no better way to learn than learning by doing. The practice of journalism that came to use was the same today.
For the same I would like to thank MR Deependra Silawal and Sujata maam for coordinating the Press team and guiding us towards the right path. I would like to thank the school management for letting us be a part of this grand show.
As I worked in the press team, I had to work in close collaboration with the IT team. I had the opportunity to work with diligent members like AVI Subedi, Shrijan KC, and Sauhard who were excellent people to work alongside.
I had chief reporters from grade 10, junior reporters from grade 7 deployed in each chamber who were reporting each and every session in the committees. I had an OP ED team, Multiple interview teams, Vox pop teams, a group of typists all working under me. They were wonderful people and you have scripted a history. Thank you for your hard work. You will all be in my heart and mind to cherish forever.
Now it is time for recognition and certification. Out of everyone that showed their brilliance and shine like a shooting star in the night sky, there were few that managed to really catch our eyes, and stood out of the crowd. To honor, and show special gratitude to such members of the Press team, I would like to call upon the deputy Chief Editor, Suyansa Thapa and Aayan Subedi to announce the names of the awardees.
Likewise, I would like to invite our team coordinator Mr. Dipendra Silwal to hand over the certificates of honor to the members. Please give a huge round of applause to welcome him on the stage.
Speech from the IT Head
Thank you, [MC]
Good afternoon!
Chairperson and Secretary General of this closing ceremony Mr. Manaswi Pant,
Our Chief Guest and Managing Director of the school Mr. Ram Basnet,
Our Special Guest and Chairperson of the school Madam Sheetal Rana,
Respected Administrative Incharge Mr. Niraj Bickram Rana,
Respected Principal Prashant Rajak, and the
MUN Coordinator Mr. Govinda Gautam
Incharges, Supervisors, teachers, members of the dais panel, delegates, and fellow members of the Press and IT committee,
The wonderful session is coming to an end. We are bidding it farewell. However, no bar remains the same after nailing it. Time flies like an arrow. It feels just like yesterday that I applied for the IT head position to Susan sir. It still feels like just yesterday when I got the news that I was the IT head. It still feels like just yesterday when I first talked to the IT team, and now we are bidding farewell to TESMUN 2022.
I feel honored to have been granted the opportunity. I couldn't have asked for a better role to be in. It is truly something that I was fond of doing as it was a new experience as well as a whole lot of trouble coming to work but the hard-working committees had made the experience way easier than expected for which I would like to give a huge round of applause to them.
When we had the first meeting, we all were uncoordinated, we had no workflow, we had no sense of what to do, we had no job description but we also didn’t have the teamwork as moved on everything started rolling, we made the workflow, we had done the work distribution and lastly, we had the teamwork. Along the way, we faced a lot of critics but the critics made our work better than ever before. I would like to thank my teachers personally as well as on behalf of the IT team for correcting mistakes and guiding us. I would just not like to thank the IT department but all the coordinators of the TESMUN themselves so we have made a video for them.
<Leaders Behind MUN Plays>
But sometimes I felt like I couldn’t do it, I felt like I wasn't cut for the job, I couldn’t pull through and I felt that I was letting the event down but seeing the hard work of it, press and logistics team gave me a glimpse of hope and that glimpse of hope was the videos produced by it team, the glimpse of hope was the work done by the logistics team and that glimpse of was the hard work of the press team that shined through the darkness and for which I hope the future of the TESMUN nothing but the best and for the memories, we made in this TESMUN the IT team has made a video for you all to enjoy.
<Final Video Plays>
The video encapsulates what had been achieved in the final session of TESMUN 2022. I have nothing but gratitude and respect for my team members who made this event possible. From the banner of the closing ceremony to the TESMUN logo that shined at the entrance of the new building the work done by the relentless effort done by the committees is nothing compared to any words that are in the dictionary.
But let's not beat around the bush and not just talk about how much the work was put in by the different committees but show the work done by the different committees.
<Behind the Scenes Video Plays>
With nothing but just a clear appreciation for the different committees, I would like to say a final simple thank you to everyone who made this event this enjoyable.
Speech from the MUN Coordinator
Thank you, Aditi and Prapti! Thank you very much!
Honorable Chief Guest and Managing Director of the School Mr. Ram Basnet, Honorable Special Guest and Chairperson of the school Madam Sheetal Rana, Respected Administrative In charge Mr. Niraj Bickram Rana, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant Rajak, Respected MUN Coordinator Mr. Govinda Gautam, Instructional Supervisors, Teachers, my colleagues in dais panel, fantastic delegates and hardworking IT team, press team members, and guests!
For the last three days, we have been intensely busy. We had been talking about something big. Something larger than life for young people like us in high school. We know we are small but what we did here today is not a small thing. We discussed and debated world affairs. We put forth our views and finally with coordination and cooperation we drew conclusions. We have sent our resolution to the world.
While doing this, we learned the process, we acquired the skills and we broadened our horizons. Now we have been able to give opinions on what could be a rightful and viable solution to the climate change challenges. Now we know the pattern and pains of economic crises and how we might be able to address such crises. We also dwelt upon the pressing national issues that are plaguing us. We talked about the multifarious effects of corruption and state mismanagement.
When I was visiting the committees, I could see a lot of interesting moments.
In Lp-1 the delegates were having the thrilling decorum with the whole committee going all out on logical debates with powerful voices. With self-assured deliveries of delegate of K.P Oli confident logical ideas of delegate of Prem Suwal exceptional research of delegate of Ghanshyam Bhusal and delegate of Gagan Kumar Thapa that even led to the dais questioning stood out. While passive to be seen but if once heated in logical arguments delegates debating with all might was in the forefront of LP-2. Where honed persuasion skills delegate of Puspa Kamal dahal fantastic logics of delegate of Upendra Yadav and confident replies of delegate of KP Oli was no less than of a civilized conference. Out of blue LP-3 brought out some intriguing ventures in the form of delegates where Vital points of delegate of Bishal Bhattarai researched based delivery of delegate of KP Oli and resonating facts of delegate of Puspa Kamal Dahal was evident. The crucial points by the delegate of Singapore was in no way undermined with the logic of the delegate of Japan and their quick argumentative remarks were fun for the whole committee to witness. Philosophical and ideological war in form of argument was the topic of discussion in HRC with clashes on the very essence of life of delegate of USA and delegate of Russia with important facts mentioned by the delegate of Nepal and delegate of Switzerland and too much of a surprise delegate of Syria’s Mesmerizing ideas shaped the committee.
The new committee was in the eye of everyone which proved to be eye-catching too with auriferous points of delegate of Afghanistan amid harsh criticism complementary facts of delegate of Ukraine with flabbergasting deliveries of delegate of India and all the delegates exploring the vastness of the topics discussed.
The final committee DISEC is being mentioned at last as the image of a powerful committee that had been set in over the years was well sustained. The Worthy points and fluency of the delegate of Palestine, the vigorous defense of the representative of the USA, and the wonderfully quoted matters of the Delegate of Germany were something that would come to my ears even after a long journey from here. In the movie, Anand wonderfully quoted” Life should be big, not long.” Long could be the years coming by but to make it big is what’s in your hand.
These events have been inscribed in my heart and mind forever and when I am pushed to odds, I will call back these moments to boost myself up. I will cherish these moments forever.
I must remember all the visible and invisible hands that made this session a success. From the high rung of management teams to the respected brothers and sisters in the kitchen is an important part of this session. As in the poem recited by the MCs, we are great not by size but by our deeds. And I remember another wonderful quote "Your life should be big not long" So delegates speak for a cause, strive for virtue and submerge yourself for betterment of humanity.
May God bless us with the power to perform and the power to bring change. Today there might be a few delegates that will be awarded for the complementary performances but you’ve already won if you have transitioned in the way you think, the way you put forward ideas and the way you have transitioned into a better you.
Thank you thank you everyone for making this MUN successful. I am hopeful that you took something in the form of betterment from here. What I took was incredible memories, Divergent views and finally never saying sorry for something that you’ve made people proud of. Thank you very much for your incredible cooperation.
Thank you!
Interview with the best delegate of DISEC committee
