Elanshir (EEL-awn-sher) is considered the ancestral home of all Elves and the High Elves in specific.
All of Mudar was once part of Elanshir. Well, everything that was above ground. The Elves have lost most of their land over time. This is due in part to wars, but also to having major political centers tossed into the sea. The original capital, Haelmirav is at the bottom of the ocean for example. The new capital, Tirvilon was the third most influential city in Elanshir before the Great Floods. King Traivion and Queen Estav are both High Elves while the Vi Lurna Torsi (Voice of the People) is a committee which consists of representatives from many races. King Traivion’s word is law followed by Queen Estav and then the Vi Lurna Torsi. It is the Vi Lurna Torsi that generally oversees the day to day matters of Elanshir.
Tirvilon is the capital. It is where royal court is held.
Tirvilon is home to the Arcanum Acada, the premier institution for magical studies is all of Mudar.
Vilsya vi Oanar (Grove of Vilsya) is one of the few places in Elanshir closed to other races as well as to Elves that are not citizens without express written permission from either the King or Queen themselves. Many members of Vi Lurna Torsi will likely never be permitted to enter.
Elanshir is practically littered with national parks. These carefully tended natural wonders attract many visitors to the kingdom.
Elves (40%), Humans (20%), Halflings (15%), Half-Elves (10%), Dragonborn (5%), Aasimar (5%), Other Races (5%)
Elanshir used to be closed to outsiders, but the kingdom was unstable after the Great Floods. King Liurmov, decided to open borders due in no small part to the coffers being drained. Today, tourism is a very viable source of income for Elanshir.
