Tempest, War - Alignment Disputed
Commander of the armies of the divine, and first fully divine child of Haelmir and Vilsya, Alagos (al-AH-go-s) is revered as the perfect warrior and the god of storms and rainfall. Tactical as he is vicious, his armies held the line against Nylva’s when she attempted to claim the heavens. To the High Elves, The Fist is something for all their armies and warriors to aspire to, while the wood elves view him as a force of nature wrapped up in a humanoid body. Wood elf clerics and paladins often look to his control over weather and his command of Esta Raumo, or The First Storm for their guidance. He is more in touch with the world itself in their eyes, and is one of the most worshipped of the pantheon.
The Dark Elves view Alagos as the greatest threat to their existence, as his clerics and paladins have been known to mount incursions in to the Underdark, set on curbing the numbers of their enemies with strategic strikes to ensure they cannot grow to a number large enough to claim the surface for their own.
Temples to Alagos are commonly found in areas of extreme weather activity, and it is not uncommon to find altars to him in small towns and on the coast line, where people most often pray for good weather to supplement their growing seasons or to ease their journey across the water. In depictions, he is always shown as a tall, broad shouldered elven man wielding two swords (or a trident and shield, among Sea Elves) usually wreathed in lightning with swirling clouds over head. He is often depicted in great murals of large armed conflicts in the heavens, and prophecies have said that he will die in battle and rather than leaving behind remains, he will become one with The Great Storm, the force of nature often depicted with him.
